Review #19: To give the Coloniales a fair test I smoked them not only out of the box in my humidor but also purchased singles from three other boxes. What I found them to be is rather one dimensional Habanos with a pleasant woody flavor however they lacked the richness found in the Fundadores or the Robustos Extras. For the same price I would much rather have purchased a box of Siglo II\'s or added a little more to get the Siglo IV\'s. Not a bad cigar but definitely not worth the price. - Submitted by Monkeyboy on May 12, 2005

Review #18: I really care to differ. I found these extremely bland. They burn wonderfully with a great draw, look beautiful and un-lit aroma is really pleasant, but it\'s so bland when lit. I always buy my cigars from an extremely reputable tobacconist in liverpool, all superb EMS stock (before anyone says I have smoked fakes). Woody, some caramelly notes...vegetal tobacco flavours, the old fundadores are superb cigars but the newer range of Trinidads just doesn\'t do anything for me. Smoked these like my Reyes after light lunches with both coffees and light red wines. I found these smoother and slightly more refined than the Reyes, but still little difference in flavour. Just not for me I guess, especially at the price. - Submitted by A. Dyer on April 8, 2005

Review #17: Even with the great reviews, this cigar is totally underrated. Its 45-60 minutes of heaven. Ive yet to have a bad one. Consistent as any. Loads of leather and cream with a touch of sweetness on the nasal. Its like drinking a cup of coffee with the all the fixings. Ive tried the Sublime, the Siglo VI, anything else you can name and this is one of my favorites by far. The Siglo might still have a slight edge due to its explosion of cream, but for the price its a no brainer. Buy lots of these....lots. - Submitted by mprach on April 4, 2005

Review #16: I can offer first-hand opinions on 15 of the brands listed on this site, having tried I don't know how many of each brand's individual varieties. As of March '05, this Trinidad is my personal favorite -- out of all of them. Review #5 sums it up best. There are no specific stand-out characteristics about the taste... it's just a wonderful balance. Medium strength with a lovely thick smoke. Never harsh; absolutely enjoyable down to the last inch (a claim I can very rarely make). Looking for that elusive perfect cigar? I eagerly recommend the Trinidad Coloniales. - Submitted by steve-san on March 12, 2005
