San Cristobal de La H. Mercaderes Review:

The MERCADERES is named after a major street in Havana that used to be a bustling commercial center and meeting ground for tobacco merchants back in the early going of the nation's capital. Typical coffee flavors dominate this Hermoso No.1 cigar which is our opinion is leading among the 3 new releases. (courtesy of LA CAVA Geneve)

Review #18: Purchased a single of these to try out from my local cigar shop. Was disappointed because of how tight the draw was. I found it very difficult to get any decent amount of smoke out of it. Despite this it was still a nice cigar, fairly creamy for the first third with a bit of woodiness, which then developed into some spice and more woodiness. Good flavours but disappointed with the draw. - Submitted by Doorhandle on May 12, 2013

Review #17: Had a single cigar for almost a year in my humidor got it out today to celebrate the end of my 6 year stay in the UK. Lovely burn and a very very smooth profile. First third a relaxing smoke while in the late second and all third a burst of milk chocolate. I found it medium bodied overall. On the construction side a very well made cigar. Smoking time was an hour and a half of a very relaxing experience. I am off to bed a happy and relaxed man. Get yourself one if you like mild relaxing cigars. - Submitted by alxs on September 18, 2012

Review #16: MAY 07 OEB-05/07. This cigar was Medium flavor and very smooth. Tasted chocolate, cream coffee and the end got very woody and peppery. Would recommend having this discontinued cigar in your humidor. - Submitted by LOMNHERNANDEZ on March 12, 2012

Review #15: This is a very enjoyable cigar for those who like mild- to medium-bodied smokes. Beautiful construction which produces a very long ash if smoked slowly. First third tastes woody and nutty. A nice milk chocolate and cream aromas develop in its second third which continue up to the end. The finish is long and a bit dry and spicy but not too spicy. Very relaxing cigar with good changes of pace. Since this cigar is discontinued as of this year, it is worth try it and buy a few sticks or boxes if you like it. From a box of 2009. 8.5 - Submitted by cottierm on July 1, 2011
