Review #10: Extremely mild. This allows to be paired with delicate liquors such as cognac and well aged wines. My cabinet is 3 years old and it still needs a few more years to thoroughly enjoy. I love offering magnificant cigars to my guest and this always impresses. Can't wait until this cabinet reach 15 years. - Submitted by semery74 on January 12, 2007

Review #9: My favorite DC. Never was lucky enough to try the fabled 01s, but 02s & 04s have been excellent. Not too mild, not too strong, but just right. You need a lot of flavor development to keep a cigar this big interesting & the SLR DC does not disappoint. - Submitted by Bassman on December 16, 2006

Review #8: These are wonderful cigars. A bit hard to find, but worth the effort. Those from '01 are just incredible at this point but the one I smoked from my new cab of '05's certainly indicate they need time to mature and smooth out. Still, the flavors came blasting through in a big way! - Submitted by Shooter on January 19, 2006

Review #7: All of the boxes that i have in stock in my humidor are from REC OCT 01 productions. In my opinion these are the very best of this brand. Once lit the very decadent and most intoxicating flavors and aromas hit you like a brick. Very strong and well aged tobacco are the main run, then you are hit with a most intoxicating combination of oily italian espresso, mixed with dark fluffy swiss chocolate. There is enven a dusting of carmel and honey in this intoxicating flavor and aroma. the quality from box to box is unbelievable. The one from the first box is identicle to the one from the 10th box. However the wrappers from box to box vary from a dark oily carmel-chocolate to an almost dark brown oily espresso bean color. the construction is nothing short of flawless, the wrappers some veins from time to time, but they never detract from the decadent and intoxicating flavors and aromas. I am still searching for more boxes from this production run, however have not had any luck as of late. When i purchased these. The boxes came from to different sources, the first 5 came from Switzerland and the second 5 came from HONGKONG.Even though they came from 2 sources and 2 countries i can not believe how exact and identicle they all are. The cubans are really becoming much better at quality every year. - Submitted by bigyesta on March 9, 2005

Review #6: generally, not the easiest of cigars to find as it is my understanding that they are manufactured to cater specifically to the middle east market. these cigars are of exceptional quality. the draw is good for a double corona. the second half of the cigar is a truly enjoyable experience. in terms of more common cigars of this size, it falls somewhere between the partagas lusitanias and the hoyo double in terms of presence and strength. if you have a chance to sample one i'd strongly advise you to seize the opportunity, if you both enjoy and have the patience for this size cigar. - Submitted by Jay K on February 17, 2005
