Review #35: MAY 08 Just got a box while on a trip to Havana, SOA MAY-08. This is great tobacco, some of the best I ever had. And finding an aged one like this is lucky. Very balanced cigars with very nice aroma, lighter at first and then suddenly progressing to more complex flavours. Leather, coffe, cocoa and earthiness. Very good structure and even burn. Much lighter than Ramon Alones Gigantes or Partagas Luistanias that I had during the trip but more sophisticated. The 78 year old torcedor at the store was nice enough to go through the two boxes they had and select the 50 best pieces for me to take. It is wonderful to find it and I must note that buying it in Havana for some 500 CUC rather than lets say 1200CHF in Switzerland is a barging. I regret not taking both. - Submitted by dimi681 on January 12, 2013

Review #34: --- 08 A beautiful cigar to behold. There were some annoying issues with it (a slightly tight draw and pretty bad tunneling), but the cigar had a wonderful taste that made me like it despite the problems. A 2+ hour smoke with an underlying earthiness along with coffee, leather and vanilla tones as well as an occasional pepper taste. Rich and creamy smoke. Mildly complex with new tastes throughout the smoke. Very enjoyable. - Submitted by AlphaWolf on May 31, 2012

Review #33: This is not a review, just an observation to the owners of this fine site. I do not understand how can people post reviews of a cigar from 2000, when it was first released in 2001. Also, how can cigars made from an inferior tobacco, coming from Vuelta Arriba (Jose Piedra cigars) and rolled exclusively at the factories where Jose Piedra machine made and tripa corta cigars are rolled and can compete with Vuelta Abajo tobacco rolled cigars - inconceivable - wrong tobacco? The limited availability is a total lie - these cigars are available in plenty of box codes (none from any Habana based factories) from every vendor who carries the brand - must be an indication of something. - Submitted by BonVivant on January 31, 2012

Review #32: MAY 00 have tried 4 from box of 50 -nice big cigar with perfect construction, slightly tight draw and razor sharp burn. its a one dimensional cigar but has a great flavor and aroma. intensifies at 1/2 point. i find it to be almost sweet tasting at the beginning with a undescribable taste thruout. one of my faves. - Submitted by neuticles on September 7, 2010

Review #31: SEP 07 Cabinet of 50 arrived today and while I should have waited a few weeks to try one smoked a defect with a slightly fluted foot as an excuse. Veins throughout each- not a Cohiba look by any means- but an initial sweetness when lit. An beautiful enhanced Cuban aroma with typical Cuban flavors of spice and a hint of graham cracker. While it did remain one dimensional throughout- the flavors did intensify as it was smoked. Superior draw and near razor sharp burn. Its age made this cigar a definate 9. - Submitted by neuticles on August 26, 2010
