Review #127: SEP 07 I loved this smoke. Rich, full bodied, and complex. Quintessential RJY taste with lots of cuban twang in every puff. Burned slightly uneven once or twice but it evened out by itself.I will buy more of these. - Submitted by Jimbo on July 4, 2010

Review #126: OCT 07 A delightful medium cigar with an excellent draw. Light tones of coffee & cream with slight floral hints to tease the pallet. I have smoked a a couple of dozen in the last month from a variety of boxes dated 07 and 08 and I have found that at least two years are necessary to enjoy this cigar. Considerable box press is evident, the 08 box less so than the 07 and the 09 is much the same as the 07. Observations are that after the first third, the burn is often times challenged requiring considerable correction in many cases. The draw is excellent, the flavour consistent from foot to head and remains consistent across all cigars that I enjoyed within the same age group. Construction was generally excellent with a couple of split foods and one hot one with too little filler. I have since acquired an additional box but can't get them older than Dec 09 so of to the humidor they go for a couple of years. They are quickly becoming my regular smoke - Submitted by LtCdrRMD on June 5, 2010

Review #125: FEB 07 I had not smoked a short churchill for a few years, and not long ago, I was in my local Tobacco store. I wanted something robust, but not too large, as the house rules are you may only sample products for 60 minutes during the afternoons. My choice that day was a RyJ Short Churchill. It was a wonderful choice. a Week later, I placed an order from my Cuban cigar source and brought in a box of Ten. Well, that only lasted me a half a month. I then placed an order for 2 boxes of 25. I am storing one of the boxes and have started working my way through the other. This stick is full of leather, and sweet earthiness. I enjoy the Cohiba Robusto as well, but my robusto preference goes to the RyJ shorty. It burns with laser precision and has a perfect draw. It develops into this great array of oaky, leather and then finishes off with a beautiful caramel or sweetness. In my books, this is a great stick for when you dont have tie for a larger stick. I prefer this to the bigger brother (Churchill). A+ and I give it a 9.0 out of 10.0. I would recommend this cigar to anyone that is asking for a great Cuban Robusto. - Submitted by thebigd on May 8, 2010

Review #124: MAR 08 Fairly new box, however the walk in humidor at the Casa Del Habano here does an exceptional job at making the cigar live up to the expectations. Great mixture of flavors for this young cigar. Good oily wrapper , perfect and even draw right to the end. Couldn't get it out of my mouth really... Just a fine specimen along with a the other robustos - Submitted by Ivan Yankov on April 17, 2010

Review #123: APR 08 This is a nice dessert cigar. It has sweet aroma with notes of milk chocolate and cappuccino. If you looking for a complex cigar, you should turn your gaze elsewhere. This robust stick is pretty straight forward. It holds it's charm till very end without turning bitter. I have tried couple of boxes now and I have had some rolled too tightly. On the other hand, some seem to be too loose. So there is quite variety in quality. Wrapper is usually very nice though. All in all these are easily approachable cigars with light to medium body. - Submitted by Finn on February 26, 2010
