--- 03 I was given a box box of these back in the mid 90's as a thank you from some friends and remember being puzzled when I looked at the strange box shape thinking they had sent me a box of 50 small cigars. Then dancing around the room after opening the silver foil and seeing a gorgeous bundle of 25 cigars wrapped in gold ribbon. One, if not the finest box of cigars I have smoked in almost 40 years. They were so good I couldn't wait for dinner to be over so I could smoke one. Rich, spicy, fruity and so complex I wish could smoke those cigars forever. I probably smoked the box in 25 days, they were addictive. I didn't get around to ordering some more until 03 and I didn't know R&J decided to make this cigar their powerhouse smoke. So the cigars I got had very dark wrappers, maybe that's why they have no bands, you don't need them they'll stick out in any humidor. Now their a much heavier smoke but nothing like they used to be. It's nice to know which cigar in a brand to buy if your looking for power, but the cigars I first smoked were a 12 and now they're a 7. What a shame! - Submitted by Richard Rose on March 8, 2009

FEB 07 This is an outstanding cigar in so many ways. After having this box resting for only 6 months, it's showing some outstanding flavors. I like strong cigars, and this smoke foots the bill. Αν καπνιστεί φρέσκο, είναι επιθετικό, αψύ και βαρύ. Με δυο-τρία χρονάκια στο σεντούκι όμως, μεταμορφώνεται πραγματικά σ’ ένα τελείως διαφορετικό πούρο, απίστευτα γευστικό. Όπως και να’ χει, πρόκειται για το πιο δυνατό R y J, με άρωμα και γεύση που διαφέρουν αρκετά από το γνωστό προφίλ. Σίγουρα πρόκειται για διαφορετικά καπνά, με ενδεχομένως διαφορετική επεξεργασία. Το μπουκέτο είναι «γεμάτο» από βαθιά floral αρώματα, που δυσκολεύεσαι να ξεχωρίζεις κάποιο. Ωστόσο, το κράμα είναι όμορφο, χωρίς να είναι βαρύ. Στη μέση κάπως «μαλακώνει» και αφήνει να διαφανεί ένας πιο ήπιος χαρακτήρας, στο ίδιο όμως μοτίβο. Το τελευταίο τρίτο, πραγματικός δυναμίτης, μουδιάζει τη γλώσσα και ξύνει λίγο τον ουρανίσκο, αφήνοντας μια ισχυρή πικάντικη επίγευση. Ευτυχώς η καύση είναι αργή σε όλη τη διάρκεια και συνεπικουρεί στο όλο εγχείρημα. Ένα «διαφορετικό», αξιόλογο και δυνατό after dinner πούρο. - Submitted by cipu on February 23, 2009

Olor en frìo: intenso a heno, cedro, con notas vegetales y dulces (aromas que no detectarè una vez encendido). 1/3-Sabor dulce con recuerdos a madera y heno. Combustiòn irregular. Fortaleza media. 2/3-Se añaden sabores que recuerdan a vainilla y pan. Ligera mejora de la combustiòn. Fortaleza media-alta. 3/3- Predominio sabores a madera y cafè, sin desaparecer recuerdos a heno. Fortaleza alta. En definitiva no tiene matices demasiados complejos, pero desarrolla una serie de sabores muy intensos y agradables. La combustiòn muy mediocre, necesita varios reencendidos.
