Review #223: recently bought 2 cabinets of 50. purchased from same supplier about 2 weeks apart. Cigars looked quite different. One cab nice med colour and just the right amount of sponginess. was a bit concerned when I looked at the other cabinet as cigars where quite firm and didnt have the beautiful rich oily appearence. neednt have worried both lots smoke beautifully nearly all gone and not a single issue with either cabinet. Fantastically complex and both cabs only 9 mopnths old. Beautiful full smoke with stewed fruit taste. - Submitted by ian on January 3, 2012

Review #222: This is a good robusto. But is it the best Robusto I have tried in recent times? Ours were purchased at a cigar bar - aged but date forgotten. A quite mild robusto with classic flavours but not overly complex. - Submitted by fuzzylogic on December 26, 2011

Review #221: MAY 08 The Ramon Allones Specially Selected is one of my top three favorites. My preference is for the thicker robustos and pyramides. I enjoyed an RASS this past weekend on a warm afternoon with a couple of cold Pilsners. These are now coming of age, and despite a little canoeing problem that developed in the 2nd third, a truly delightful smoke. Flavor was consistent all through with distinct chocolate notes strong in the last third. I have another unopened box of these in hibernation in my humidor which is a good thing, only eight or so left of this excellent box from May 2008. I would consider purchasing a box of RA Gigantes just so I could enjoy the experience longer each time. - Submitted by Gary Price on July 18, 2011

Review #220: --- 08 Ramon Allones Specially Selected is one delicious robusto. Usually well made. Wrapper has small veins and cigar is generally nice to look at. Unfortunately some burn issues every now and then. Taste is on stronger side of medium bodied. First buffs give away flavors of dark chocolate and roasted chicory. Herbs and spices are always present but they really take over around halfway of the cigar. I really enjoy this member of Ramon Allones family. Especially deep round flavors of this robusto are unforgettable. - Submitted by Finn on July 13, 2011

Review #219: Correct wrapper, good draw. Linear taste: dark chocolate with addition of spices (pepper) from the second third. Nonetheless the taste is never boring nor harsh nor bitter. A good everyday medium-bodied cigar. From a June 2009 box. 8.3 - Submitted by cottierm on June 29, 2011
