It's always nice to be able to say that I've smoked the best cigar I've ever smoked, and I was able to say that this very afternoon, right after nubbing one of these little beauties. From a diminutive, almost mundane format, from an unknown brand, comes a little gem that can easily match the quality of cigars, Cuban and non, that are four times the price. A buddy of mine was able to secure 2 cabinets of these in Havana recently, from April 06, and they already smoke like they're much older. If you see these, buy them. Sweet caramel, and possibly cedar, and nice, but never overbearing hints of typical Cuban spice. A cigar that truly reminds me why I smoke cigars, and why the ISOM premium is a good price to pay. - Submitted by agraupe on May 12, 2007

Out of a cabinet of 50 from april 06 - These are strong cigars with lots of flavour. Caramel and woody tobacco are my main impressions. Por Larranaga is a brand seldom considered when talking about great cigars. You always speak of Cohiba, Partagas, Hoyo...etc. That's a mistake because they make some good cigars like this mareva. It starts lightly, with mostly cedar tones and a sweet aftertaste; going on it builds up some strenght and earthy notes, but never becomes harsh or bitter. Even in the last third, the strenght is never overwhelming, it can be smaked all-day without problems. Good one. - Submitted by sasha on April 3, 2007
