Review #29: JUN 08 Simply one of the best cigars i've never smoked! I'm impressed because usually LE needs few years. - Submitted by nerbor on January 8, 2009

Review #28: OCT 08 Smoked one on new year's eve. Damn good for such a super-young stogie. Superior, powerful taste. I have a problem with the construction, though: it wasn't rolled tightly enough in my opinion. I dislike softness when I buy a premium cigar: it reminds me of a Guantanamera or a JLP. As a consequence, it burned a little fast and uneven for such a pricey item, and the draw could have been better. When I pay for a "rustic" stick, fine, but a 50-buck cigar MUST be tight to the touch! Maybe an "economy" rolling method was used this year because of the poor harvest. It is still a very charming cigar with a blend of the utmost quality. Could be out-of-this-world if aged properly and rolled tighter. 9/10 - Submitted by Franz-Eric on January 6, 2009

Review #27: JUL 08 After letting them rest for 6 months, I decided to light one of these. Awesome piece. Construction is simply perfect. Smooth even burn with white ash. Lots of smoke. The taste is so complex, changing every other centimeter of this stick. Will it age and improve? To what? This is a perfect cigar. A real ten plus!! - Submitted by El Greco on January 6, 2009

Review #26: AUG 08 i received 2 boxes of this mega-limited item at Christmas Eve and ceremal-smell comes out when opening the box. Maduro and oily wrapper and complex aroma formed and impressive presentation. After aging for almost two weeks, color changed slightly darker and body becoming soft. I'll age 2-3 more months and will try the 1st Monte Sublimes 2008. - Submitted by ericryan on January 5, 2009

Review #25: JUL 08 After reading the previous reviewers, I picked up a box of ten MC LE2008 Sublimes to try (LPM JUL 08). My first impression is WOW - what a humongous, dense, heavy cigar... like a Super-Edmundo. The wrapper is dark, smooth and very oily (exactly like the photo here). The first aromas and flavors are of toasted nuts and butter. Next to arrive are the always-popular bean, white pepper, and leather - reminiscent of a well-aged MC No. 2. The draw is a bit restricted at first, but it works well with the strength and flavors, and opens up after the first couple inches. Thereafter, the flavors remain spot-on with medium body. The burn is smooth and cool yet surprisingly quick - just over ninety minutes. Twice the price of an Edmundo but not twice the cigar. I'll put the rest of these away for a year or two and see what happens. - Submitted by cpubiz on January 5, 2009
