Review #11: I don't think this LE has anything to say. It is hard to think that some age will bring anything out of this disappointing release, however, perhaps some age will help it gain some complexity and balance. Let's hope that Habanos SA doesn't just keep releasing the EL (limited editions) just to cash in. Slight notes of pepper, but not overwhelming by any means. Nice smoke, disappointing aromas, mediocre construction which lead to slight burn problems. Good draw. This was the nuttiest, toastiest cigar I've ever had. Almost a salty taste. I had high expectations for this cigar. Next time I smoke it I'll expect less. - Submitted by cookj1 on May 7, 2007

Review #10: This cigar is a very good robusto with potential to much better with time. Tried one today from a MAR 06 cab and it smoked evenly, good pull and needed no correction. The flavours are not quite as full on as Monte's usually are which may be interesting for some in itself. It smoked very long and quite powerful toward the end, peppery. If you like robustos, Montes or both, suggest you try and/or put a few down for another year minimum. - Submitted by Antipodean Smoker on April 21, 2007

Review #9: This cigar needs some age, but it shows potential. After resting in the humi at 67% RH it was firm to the touch, nice silky cell structure with a few veins. Rich dark brown in color, with few mottled darker areas; good cunstruction with a nice cap. Prelight draw was easy, and prelight taste on the tongue and lips hinted at pepper and spice. After taking my time toasting the foot, the cigar started out somewhat raw and peppery. The ash was grayish-white and not as firm as I might have expected--it began to bend short of the one-inch mark. Pleasant, slightly sweet aroma, and an easy draw. Twenty minutes in this cigar began to smooth out a bit, but it is still very young tasting. There is a hint of sweetness that I would describe as dark caramel, but this is nearly overwhelmed by the pepper and spice. With age, these flavors may balance out. Long finish. This cigar burned remarkably evenly for a young stick, with no corrections necessary. I put it down after seventy minutes with a little less than two inches remaining. The rest of this box is in the coolerdor; I'll try another stick in about a year's time. My score reflects the cigar's current state, not its potential which is much higher. - Submitted by mhinga on March 6, 2007

Review #8: Again, don't be discourged about these great tasting limtadas young age, just wait for it to mature to a perfect one in 2 years. If you wait for it to age at your trusted dealer humidor, they'll be long gone. - Submitted by Essam on January 28, 2007

Review #7: This cigar is way too young right now. I found it to be very harsh and one dimensional. I purchased a box of these along with the Partagas LE 06, and have found these to be the poorer relation of the two. I have heard similar comments about the 2001 Monte Robusto when it was young, so I am hoping these will age as nicely as the older vintage has. - Submitted by jcwbnimble on December 16, 2006
