Review #47: Just smoked one from a box(cardboard) of 25. It reminded me of the cigars that the old Italian gentlemen where I'm from(tri-state area) smoked. They called them "Guinea Stinkers"- not my name for them- black, gnarly smokes that were very strong. These are not refined or subtle, if you want that smoke a Saint Luis Rey Regio. This fellow came at me with woody, earthy, Cuban tobacco power. Fairly smooth. The Cuban cigar guide says these are handmade with short filler. On this site it says they are machine made. Doesn't make a difference to me. These are a perfect after work smoke, I get off work at night, when you don't want to fire up an expensive smoke. Just what I was looking for. - Submitted by Arnie on June 6, 2007

Review #46: Wow. Bought a bundle of 25 wrapped in yellow plastic (cellophane). They didn't feel that dry and were quite soft when squeezed. When I clipped the first one and had the whole cap crumble, I realized that they were soft because they were not rolled very tightly! The cellophane-wrapped bundle somehow prevented them from getting humidified properly when stored in the distributor's stockroom. They were way too dry. A third of them had small cracks which I fixed with some diluted honey. However: reviewer 43 is right. Each one is unique. You get really pretty ones which have great construction, then you get a some which are very sloppy. Each one also seems to vary in ring guage. Kept them in my humidor for a week and smoked one today. Typical Cuban flavor with nothing too pronounced; yet quite a smooth smoke. Considering they cost only a little more than two premium Club cigarillos, these can't be beat in terms of value. - Submitted by mtec on May 31, 2007

Review #45: An enjoyable smoke offered at a very reasonable price. Really nice flavour, I have spent much more money on much lesser cigars! Great 40-minute smoke so this will due just fine for your everyday cigar... - Submitted by Eduard on May 26, 2007

Review #44: Got a box of 5 for free and liked them enough that i went and bought 2 bundles.I give them 4 stars for just what they are, a good cheap everyday smoke. - Submitted by glen on April 18, 2007

Review #43: Piedra cigars have fun. Every cigar is unique,i have seen dozens of different wrapper colors, every cigar smells and tastes like no other, you can find garbage cigars and absolute fantastic ones, within the same box! bad drawers/perfect drawers, stinky or with perfect smell, every cigar is different. Even the color of the bands is different sometimes!Try to collect all those with maduro(or something like that) wrapper. Give them time to rest for a while, smoke them slowly and you will enjoy the best machine-made cigar ever.Forget Dominican,Nicaraguan,Honduran and others..Not complex or sophisticated, one basic flavour or earth, leather and spice, all mixed together, very sweet, raw, with good draw and fantastic aroma, especially in the middle of the stick.Mr Piedra is an honest man.Gives us the ability to smoke good cigars everyday. The real spirit of Cuba is here. Not for tuxedo-boys.. Thank you Santa Clara - Submitted by nikolaros on April 11, 2007
