Review #196: JUN 05 This stick was from a 2005 box, so definitely well aged. First third was dark tea and leather with light sweet tea notes. Leather and dark tea dominant second third with soft notes of mocha. Final third was strictly Leather and tea. Overall tasty but fairly one dimensional, which is to be expected for this old a cigar - Submitted by jcwbnimble on November 18, 2021

Review #195: NOV 11 Elegant & classy cigar. Starts off straight on medium with medium full flavours of nuts, brown sugar & toasted tobacco. The first ash fell at about the end of the first third & the flavour & body continued to ratchet up from thereon in. Some sweet pine notes, a subtle coffee & a heavy leather also noted. For an 8 year old cigar it took me somewhat by pleasant surprise with just how full & jam packed with flavour it was, although it's noticeably much lighter on nicotine than younger 46's generally are (I know from experience that they can bite hard) I'm about halfway through this particular cab now & from what I've had from this sample today, I don't think there's a need to hurry with them, they appear to have legs aplenty still. A 94 today. - Submitted by Vortigan on June 30, 2019

Review #194: APR 16 Smoked some from aluminium tubes petacas. Great complexity, perfect construction, balanced and full of flavours. Great cigars. - Submitted by titobueno76 on May 24, 2019

Review #193: Rough wrapper with a crack even though it was a tubo. Smoked ok to start with but soon started to burn unevenly and kept trying to go out. Aroma pleasant andfresh, palate mild but a little sharp towards the end - Submitted by Neilito on May 1, 2019

Review #192: NOV 08 I've had the last from a 10 year old box of these lying in the bottom of my humidor for 8 of those years so decided I shouldn't leave it there much longer. I'm glad I did as it was beautifully well aged but had just about started it's decline and probably peaked a couple of years ago. These hadn't been from a great batch originally - they were thoroughly average Mag 46s, fairly enjoyable but with a little grubbiness especially in the last third. This last one had now become mild-medium and a completely smooth, delicate and complex cigar. Though starting very mild it still had a slightly heady background to the flavour. Slightly sweet, creamy citrus and delicate woods, developing floral notes, subtle exotic spices and occasional coffee coming through in that creaminess. The second half became more medium bodied with some additional macadamia and almond. It still didn't quite burn cool to the fingertips but it came close. The only downside for me with this was it had just a faint hollowness to the flavours. Simply, this particular example, having been rolled from not a great harvest in the first place, had just been aged a little too long. Still a 93/94 point cigar for me, but the best long-aged cigars I've smoked have still retained a more rounded richness of flavour despite mellowing and becoming more subtle. - Submitted by A.
