Review #69: I was just reviewing my notes for this great little cigar, and after going threw about half a box from Nov 05, every time I’ve noted on how great these have been. I’m relatively new to this wonderful world and have enjoyed some excellent cigars that have been far superior to this one IMO. The difference is that I have, without exception, had some very poor ones in some of these other finer cigars. The Parti Short always has been a great, spicy, yet smooth smoke that remains consistent and doesn’t disappoint. For the money I’ve yet to find better value. As for the 02 Boli CG I just “Didn’t Finish”, lets hope it was the only poor one from that box. - Submitted by randallp on July 26, 2007

Review #68: Smoked my 1st parti short from box code AVH 05 what a great little habano!Has typical parti flavors! A strong little bomb of a smoke and would highly recommend to the smoker with a time constraint! Not for the beginner! - Submitted by ami61154 on July 4, 2007

Review #66: Some time ago, my experience with the Shorts was from a couple of unbanded sticks that were also slightly cheaper than the banded ones I've bought since then. While good smokes and comparable to the ones now, there was some variation in construction quality (mainly the draw). Does anyone have info on this? The one I had just now in a park on a bench was the second banded Short I've smoked, and like the previous one a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It started off with a taste typical to Cubans, and even more typical of Partagas. Green pepper laced with espresso, the only difference being that the taste here was very clean. No roughness occasionally found in other cigars. During the first quarter the pepper remained a constant, mellowing out after a short while but defining the taste. The cigar got milder after that, evolving into a complex mix but always with an undertone of power. Something that takes hold of the tongue, claiming your attention. At the half of the stick it evolved even more. To be honest, I was too busy just enjoying it to make mental notes on all the flavours. Coffee, with an increasing presence of chocolate, all in a wonderfully balanced blend. The finish is as marvelous as the rest and shows an evolution all of its own, really too complex to describe until I've sat down with one of these and made notes of all I find. Wonderfully fragrant, both in taste and aroma. Until the stick lets you know gently that it's time to put it down, the taste remains clean and fully devoid of any hint of unpleasantness. I was going to note that the only catch is the almost comparable quality of the Aristocrats (that I'm always defending adamantly) which are cheaper, but after tasting the finish I'm no longer so sure. One thing is certain, though... These have a lot more aging potential. Great smokes while young, I suspect a couple of years of ageing will truly yield something exceptional. I don't understand how people can go through vitolas of this size in under 30 minutes. I got a good 50 minutes of perfection from this. The positive climate surrounding these cigars is well funded. Not to be missed. - Submitted by Nekotaku on May 24, 2007

Review #65: A good size for a "short". A good and easy draw from the start, smooth smoke throughout. Leather, wood and grass in the taste, with maybe a hint of spice, a touch of coffee aroma halfway through. My only negative comment is that it didn't burn very evenly. Smoking time 20-25 minutes. Overall a very good smoke. - Submitted by newsmoke on May 20, 2007
