- Submitted by cipu on October 6, 2008

Review #14: OCT 07 Smoked 1st Presidentes after last dinner. I don't know the reason this cigar delivered a normal performance from beginning until end. The only thing that made me impressive was the complex-aroma and white-ash. I will age the others in humidor for at least 6 mths and see whether there will be any improvement. - Submitted by ericryan on September 28, 2008

Review #13: I am absolutely blown away by this cigar. I smoked one on Saturday night and thought it was too good to be true. So I smoked one the next day...same thing: extraordinary! I acknowledge that due to the challenges of rolling a cigar like this, there is the potential for the odd, poorly rolled cigar. The feedback I have received from my peers is that some can have tight draws and some have construction problems including cracked wrappers. The two I smoked in the last two days were bang on. ...no draw problems,no construction problems, and perfect flavours and aromas. The flavours are all Partagas. ...pronounced earth, coffee, with a slight sweetness to it, which others may call chocolate. Copious amounts of smoke. I was not disappointed with the huge plumes of smoke this cigar dispensed of. I would prefer the Partagas over the Cuaba for this type of vitola, but the Cuaba shouldn't be overlooked either. There was a slight bitterness in the 2nd half of this Presidentes which could indicate youth or lingering ammonia. I wouldn't hesitate to add more of these to my humidor. I find it interesting that some find this cigar bland or mild. On the contrary, I found the flavours full and the cigar to be strong. The presidentes I smoked do not have cellophane like the one pictured on the side. Perhaps the Presidentes are of higher quality in recent years. - Submitted by cookj1 on August 11, 2008

Review #12: I only had one of these from a sampler pack I purchased, but I was dying to try one of these cool looking old time cigars. The cigar lit up well and looked nice. The wrapper was a bit light and the smoke was ok. The flavor was lighter then I expected and it did not really taste soo great. I'm sure if this cigar was aged for at least a year it would have tasted better. So to me it was fair. I will try a few more before I reach a real conclusion. - Submitted by nnjlon2 on April 9, 2008

Review #11: Being the very few hand-made perfecto, one will appreciate the effort for Partagas to revive the traditional vitola. Tried one recently and found it not as good looking as Cuaba's cigars. Its taste started to gain momentum a few minutes after lighting it. This may be caused by the shape. Undoubtedly, it is a great cigar which is professionally constructed. It is a mild to full bodied cigar though the after taste is a bit too short. - Submitted by qcboyyy on March 17, 2008
