Review #17: Overwhelming taste of tannin throughout this cigar which made it difficult to enjoy, though you could tell that underneath that there was a strong, smooth smoke. I left this to settle in the humidor for about a month after I bought it, IMO it needs a fair bit longer to be best enjoyed. - Submitted by ISC on March 5, 2009

Review #16: DEC 07 Good small stick with red wine. Spice in the hint, some sweet tones. Medium body, nice flawour. For me better then RJ Petit princess. I will waiting for the maturing, but fresh ist tasteful too. I purchased next box. - Submitted by kml on November 28, 2008

Review #15: SEP 98 Box code JM OSSU.Choccolate brown appearance, few veins, nicely box-pressed and firm(ish)to the touch. Subtle prelight aromas, classic habano. The draw was very good as was the burn.I found it medium bodied with complex(for the size)flavours, cool enough to be smokable down to the nub with lots of nice smelling smoke. A much better perla than Mc#5 IMO even compared with younger examples having done the comparison many times over.I will say again that,i believe that,Diplos age better than Mc's at least #1's to #5's. I had better success with Mc Edmundos but for that i will send another review. - Submitted by SOTERIS KOROMIAS on October 27, 2008

Review #14: just smoked my first. a nice cigar! opens up with darjeeling tea flavors which evolves into some dried fruit. impeccable draw! a cigar which made me consider buying a box. - Submitted by oblazt on February 13, 2008

Review #13: I had a comparison last weekend of Diplomaticos no.5, Montechristo no.5 and Hoyo - du depute... I have found Diplomaticos a very well made and full cigar but not so easy to burn and not so easy to draw. To my opinion more heavy than the other 2 but with excellent taste and heavy flavour/woody. Not recommended for a beginner. - Submitted by seirios69b on November 6, 2007
