--- To me Diplomaticos No. 1 was a positive surprise. Taste was smooth, pleasant and had a special kind of sweetness. It reminded me of something like cane sugar or rock candy. I could also pick up hint of cappuccino. After halfway some pepper and wood mixed in. Other than that D No. 1 did not develop much. Nothing wrong with construction or draw though. --- 04 Το εχω παρει αποφαση,ειμαι πολυ ευαλωτου χαρακτηρος.Γραφει ο συντροφος CIPU οτι μας σωνεται αυτο το νουμερο,τρεχω και αγοραζω κούτα.Καλα,την γουστάρω κιολας την συγκεκριμένη brand.Και φυσικα,ολα ειναι πολυ καλα σε αυτό το καλούδι.Εμφανιση,καύση,αρωμα.Ως και η στάχτη του μου αρέσει.Γευση παρομοια με ολα τα size της φιρμας.Ξυλα,λαδια,δερματα.Μου φανηκε πολυ ελαφρυ.Μονη παραφωνια το οτι ηταν αρκετα σφιχτο(οχι δυσαρεστα,απλα τα νουμερα 2,4,5 ηταν τέλεια σε αυτο το θεμα).Θα το δω ξανα σε κανενα χρονο που θα εχει ηρεμησει στον υγραντηρα μου. - Submitted by jorjis on October 22, 2009

APR 01 The wrappers were pale and dry when I first opened the boxes and showed their age. They improved after a week or two of humidification and the wrapper became less flaky and more appealing. The lightness of the wrapper was not particularly to my taste; I prefer a darker cigar which always seem to be more pungent and menacing. I have been smoking from a box of 2001 Diplomaticos No.1. They have lit well enough and the draw is fine but I felt that I needed to draw on them slightly more frequently than I am used to and one or two went out on me in the last third. The cigar tasted anonymous and slightly harsh to start with but became fuller in flavour quite quickly and gave up hints of caramel and light coffee. Hopefully this was to be the start of something good but as time went on there was no further development in taste. In the end I was left with the impression of having smoked a rather one-dimensional which was pleasant enough but not particularly memorable.
