Review #144: After saving this stick for a special occasion I lit it tonight in celebration of the New Year. It is a beautiful appearing piece with a flawless, glistening wrapper and beautifully formed cap. It smelled rich and full with a hint of the barnyard. It lit easily after toasting and burned flawlessly, starting with soft, smooth tobacco smell and taste. The draw was perfect and it didn’t take long, about half an inch, to begin to taste the rich creamy character with hints of chocolate. The flavor continued to develop, growing creamier and stronger with rich fragrance and flavor throughout. I had to slow down my rate of smoking, trying to limit my puffs, which was a challenge as I wanted to immerse myself in this wonderful cigar. I smoked it down to under an inch at which point the head had begun to unravel and I quit. Plainly this is a very nice cigar and I will savor the remaining ones in my humidor. The only downside is price. I paid over $22 and I do have to question if this is really worth over four times the price I pay for Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas or over twice the price of Partagas Series D #4s, both of which are wonderful, tasty, flavorful, and thoroughly world-class sticks, IMO. That being said I did thoroughly enjoy it and I will look forward to the remaining examples I have in my possession. I will however think twice before I buy more just because of the high price. - Submitted by handyman on January 1, 2008

Review #143: The Siglo VI truly is an amazing representation of the Cohiba brand. Everything I love about the tobacco present in Cohiba cigars is showcased in the Siglo VI format. Cohiba’s tobacco undergoes a third fermentation process in barrels, which is one of the reasons this cigar has such a smooth flavor. The development of flavor that occurs when this blend burns in the Siglo VI format is exceptional. The Cañonazo feels good in the hand, maintaining a firm construction through the last minutes. It is the king member of the family La Línea 1492 not only because of its size, but also because of the experience it delivers to the smoker. I especially enjoyed the time spent smoking this stick. Where I usually find myself feeling as though my robusto slipped between my fingers all too quickly, I enjoyed this cigar for nearly an hour an a half. Solid one inch cones of white ash fell only when prompted and the even burn gave way to a draw that was cool and creamy. Blue smoke carried the grassy flavors that characterize the brand to my palate and out my nose. Creamy and rich and absolutely wonderful! The Vuelta Abajo district, where the tobacco for the Cohiba cigar grows, holds a special power in the Cuban landscape. Somewhere between the limestone hills, nestled in humid valleys of rich soil, lies a heartland of tobacco fields teeming with potential for greatness. And to think that I am actually holding a little piece of Cuba in my hand… wow, what a smoke! - Submitted by rbarnhill on November 12, 2007

Review #142: This is a truly outstanding cigar. I have had six cigards from 2 different boxes and all have been magnificient! It is a beauty to look at with flawless construction. The draw has always been ultra smooth. The flavours build-up nicely and in all instances I have been able to smoke these to the but. For me this is the perfect cigar! - Submitted by nikolasb on October 18, 2007

Review #140: Decided to go deep into my aging humidor to commemorate my mom's passing four years ago. Decided on one of the these beauties that have been in there for two years. Well worth the wait. Perfect draw with all the Cohiba taste right from the start. Perfect burn from start to finish with the taste only getting better. Smoked it down to the nub, had to stand up slowly, it did indeed pack the Cuban kick. Will save the next one for the next National Championship game the Longhorns play or for one of my daughter's wedding! - Submitted by ElTejano on September 18, 2007
