OCT 06 It's true; this isn't your father's Cohiba. It isn't grassy, but more like dark creme caramel with a dusting of cinnamon and black pepper. Very rich and sweet with a spicy finish on the lips and tongue. If you're expecting a classic Cohiba, you might be disappointed, but it still ranks as among the best cigars of 2006. - Submitted by shrink on January 18, 2009

DEC 06 Dark and oily... stunningly beautiful construction. Firm with no soft spots. Pre-light aroma earthy saddle leather. Medium strength, at best, but great flavors. Not the usual grassy Cohiba taste. Very complex that builds as it burns. The smoke has a fantastic aroma. This is one you don't want to end! Review #18: I just purchased my second box of 10 after smoking one. Pretty close to a perfect cigar, an instant classic. Different from the golden-wrappered Esplendido and Robusto. Richer flavors, less grassy and more nutty. Less beany and more fruity. And, most obviously, beautiful dark oily wrapper. Perfectly rolled for an exemplary roll and burn, The smoke smells like rare French cologne -- like Vetiver. - Submitted by archie on October 21, 2008

Review #17: Admittedly a great, creamy smoke. "Just" medium+ strong, but already very mellow and refined with just two years of age. Creamy, reminiscent of a stronger Cohiba DC EL2003 profile. Very nice, though very pricey. - Submitted by Hercule Poirot on October 1, 2008

OCT 06 I bought two boxes of 10 when these first came out onto the scene and lit the first one last night. Absolutely Fantastic. Not your normal cohiba but one that is truly magnificent. The piramides vitola is my favorite and this little baby is a real good looking cigar. It had a smooth oily light to medium brown wrapper. It produced a full rich gorgeous aroma with the most prominent flavors being caramel, earth, spices and hints of vanilla, espresso and cedar on the palate. Its burn was perfect right from the start and draw was very good. I was contemplating on lighting up another one after almost burning my lips on this but i think i will give them a little more time to age and revisit them in about 2 or 3 years because the last inch or so was a little strong. But nevertheless a true legend from Cohiba. I hope they make a new version of this cigar soon. Ill definetely place my order for a cabineta of 50. - Submitted by thetim on August 16, 2008
