Bolivar Churchills Review:

This cigar also goes by another commerical name, Coronas Gigantes, however the difference between the two is that they are made with tobacco from different vegas. Coronas Gigantes is of a slightly higher quality than Bolivar Churchills.

Review #15: --- 02 I bought a few years ago the rest at a local dealer. The dark wrapper. Construction OK, sometimes pull tight. Started medium, last part is full. Nice aroma and taste. - Submitted by kml on May 9, 2013

Review #14: MAY 00 It's rare that a Churchill delivers body and full flavor from beginning to end. But that is the case with the tubed Churchill I had from Bolivar. First, a great presentation--the tube itself it really nice and old school. The cigar itself is big and well rolled. The flavors are classic Bolivar and with 10 years of age now, that classic Bolivar flavor is outstanding. Never overly strong but always rich and delicious. If you're lucky enough to find one--grab it. I haven't seen one for sale in years. A true 10. - Submitted by marc12 on May 28, 2010

Review #13: APR 01 Lovely looking Churchill that came in an aluminium tube. Came at a bargain price as the local LCdH was having a stock clearance last year. Being superceeded by the Corona Gigantes, having quite some age and slight layer of powery white substance, I finally lit it today with much anticipation after sitting in the humidor for about half a year. However I was sorely disappointed. The cigar had a case of chronic uneven burn. It was poorly constructed, loosely filled and kept going out. Despite my best efforts to rectify this, I ended up wasting about 3 quarters by which time the smoke became overly leathery and tannic. I probably got about ten memorable puffs out of the whole length. That aside, it did show flashes of brilliance when it did decide to behave. Sweet toasty milk coffee, very flavourful. I hope the box of Corona Gigantes I got recently will be better constructed. Sadly this is the sole stick and I will be unable to revisit what I believe would have been a brilliant experience. All things considering, I believe a 4/10 score would be fitting and maybe even generous, only because of those few brief interludes I managed to eke out of it. - Submitted by sengjc on February 6, 2010

Review #12: ---   i had a Bolivar Churchills in a tube, and i was lucky that the cigar was a bit oily when i took off the label ... the woody/earthy flavour of the cigar is one of the best,.. Bolivar dark leafs always provide a great aroma and taste to its smoker... - Submitted by bnmutlaq on January 26, 2010

Review #11: DEC 07 Just finished one of these that has been in the humidor for about a year and that has been time well spent - started off quite mild and very smooth perfect for a summer evening the middle third then became quite spicy in comparison, but not unpleasent and finally it finished off with a little woody taste, an excellent smoke. - Submitted by Gramaglia on June 12, 2009
