Smoking cigars became my newest pleasure. This was my first Cuban. Before it, I use to smoke cheap machine made cigars just to pose with friends at our college meetings and New Year parties. And I must say that it was stinking mistake. Cohiba Siglo II opened new borders to me. Pleasant and with a moderate to strong flavor, it imposes elegance and an austere tone. Siglo II is compatible with my physical, once I am 5’6” tall. It also agrees with my state of spirit in most of the occasions and satisfies my palate. I am yet discovering other Cuban Cigars but Cohiba Siglo II will never lose space in my cigars box. - Submitted by Eduardo Justa on January 2, 2008

This is really beautiful looking petit corona with vein-less Colorado/Natural wrapper, good construction and always well filled. First few puffs were on the lighter side but soon appeared distinctive creamy taste with hints of honey and espresso. This tree year old was burning perfectly smooth where rich and subtle aroma came to expression. For me this is more morning or early afternoon cigar which I enjoy after light meal together with nice unwooded white wine. When I’m looking for this type of cigar I have always problem to decide between Trinidad Reyes and Siglo II. - Submitted by Diademo on November 5, 2007

While these are a decent smoke on their own, they are disappointing for 2 reasons, 1) price and 2) the fact it is a Cohiba. There are better Marevas out there that cost much less. Review #75:

I have smoked these cigars for a while, and have always enjoyed them. They were always medium strenght with good flavor. However, the last box I purchased has all sorts of problems. Of the 9 I have smoked so far 4 had extremely tight draws and 3 had burn issues. The flavor in this box is also lacking. This is the first box from 06 that I have had. The boxes purchased previously were, 99, 00, 02, and 04. All cigars from those four boxes had the same flavor characteristics, construction, and draw. I am not impressed by the 06 box at all. I hope this is just some fluke thing and the quality is only bad in one batch. I will purchase these in the future, but not for long if they continue like this. Review #74:

This is not in the same league as some of the other Cuban marevas. I can think of a handful of marevas that are exceptional or are better than the Siglo II. When compared to the other Cohibas it's good, but not up to par with the other Siglos. You get the typical Cohiba flavours but they aren't as pronounced as the other Siglos. A little tight. No burn problems. Age would mellow this cigar out more. I'd recommend 5 years of aging and this should help bring some much needed balance to this cigar. There is raw complexity to this cigar, but again, age will help it to mellow and develop the characteristics that should be exhibited with the Siglo II. - Submitted by cookj1 on September 12, 2007
