Vegas Robaina Famosos Review:
The taste of this "Robusto" is very similar to that of Don Alejandro, but, of course, with a shorter length. Its taste half way between medium and strong is balanced in great harmony with subtle sweet, woody and earthy notes.

Review #65: The Cigar was well made burned perfect with a great draw. That being said this cigar just didn't do it for me. I was expecting it to be more complex. Review #62:  For years this was my favourite everyday cigar. Due to inconsistence and construction problems I didn’t smoke many over past years but when I find good Famoso there is always the same as the first time – tobacco and chocolate are fighting for your attention. This cigar was resting at the bottom of my humidor for almost six years (CVA NOV 01). Wrapper lost a bit of colour, draw was not perfect but taste was amazing. It was definitely different from ordinary VR taste: chocolate, coffee and earthy combination - it was more rounded, matured and not so distinctive. This was typical well aged tobacco with all characteristics of VR but on different level. Bordeaux wine rounded on all experience and I just hope to get lucky with similar Famosos the future. - Submitted by Diademo on September 18, 2007
Review #61: Just had one from a pack of 5. Immediately the taste from the pre-light draws were that of cherry/dark fruit. Upon lighting some burn issues came about, but soon corrected itself. The first third was rather sweet and light. Leading into the second third the sweetness was overpowered with layers of cedar/wood flavours and smell. The final third became quite hot and required less draws from the mouth, which in turn made it necessary to pay more attention. The amount of "buzz" went from nothing to full bore towards the end. Was smoking it whilst drinking a bit of hennesy XO. Very nice cigar, overall good construction, some minor cannoing occur in the final third. Have three more left.
