Review #46: This was my first Trinidad, bought from TomTom in Elizabeth Street, London.I was surprised at its mildness (for a Cuban cigar). The construction, draw and appearance were perfect, with a wrapper halfway between colorado and maduro. It smoked beautifully to the last two inches, with a fine pale grey ash, and had quite a complex flavour palette, although as I have said atypically mild for a Cubano - a bit like the first 10 minutes of a Montecristo A, in my opinion a finer cigar. I must smoke a few more before arriving at a final judgement. 8.5 points - Submitted by winterbee on April 18, 2007
Review #45: This is a review by proxy. I recently treated a young friend of mine to a Robusto Extra. He is a beginner at cigars in general and I have been coaching him on the finer points of this recreation. Upon lighting the Trinidad his eyes also lit up. His first comments were, "Gee, this is nice." As he continued, the expressions only got better and by the time he was well into the smoke I thought I was going to have to hose him down. It was mild, well balanced, full of exciting flavor and billowing smoke. His comments and excitement continued well into the evening. There were some burn issues but I never rate a cigar on one or two construction glitches. I am certain if he were to post this rating he would give it an 11. But there is so much more out there to experience. Still, I know that it is a fine smoke and well worth the enjoyment. - Submitted by olfr8dog on March 8, 2007
Review #44: I was suprised so many smokers didn't find this great cigar very satisfing -- It is not a harsh or strong cigar but rather a balanced smooth smoke -- construction on those I have had was excellent with beautiful white ash -- it is full of sutble flavors and is best enjoyed with good coffee -- I feel it is and outstanding cigar - Submitted by butch on March 6, 2007
Review #43: Rating this cigar poorly because it is too mild is ridiculous to me. Would you ever call T.S. Elliot a bland loser simply because his poetry had too few references to violence?! If you guys think the cigar is a little bit too mild, let it age for a while, stop smoking for a week (let your tastebuds grow back) and THEN write a review. The one I had yesterday was from 2004, and it was sublime. The cigar was a masterpiece of construction and burned perfectly. Although it did not have the power of a Fuente Fuente OpusX or a fresh Partagas Serie D No. 4, for its strength this cigar was perfect. The flavor profile is like apple pie, and the aroma is honeyed and unparalleled. The cigar I had had only 3 years of age and I will gladly give it a 95 (round down to 9). If previous reviews have made a potential smoker uncertain about whether this cigar is a good match, I beg you follow this simple formula: if you appreciate cigars, try it; if you appreciate nicotine, don't try it. - Submitted by lincolon444 on February 23, 2007
Review #42: Well, I'm actually going to agree with what a lot of reviewers are saying. As a tenured Coloniales smoker, I expected the same greatness I recieved from the Siglo VI (in its early days, not recently mind you), instead, I got a sheep in wolf's clothing. Yes it was smooth, but very bland throughout most of the cigar. Better smoked sitting around the pool and loafing than on the golf course, you really need to focus on the flavors to pick them out. For the price of a box of #2's or Royal Corona's, or the D No. 4, 12 of these puppies was a waste of money. - Submitted by mprach on September 16, 2006
