Review #56: Thicker gauge vitolas from blends as Trinidad’s are usually not designed as very complex and full bodied (too much Volado leafs for my taste). That’s why I never anticipate too much from this kind of cigars. This one I smoked today was nice looking, though a bit veinier than others from my box of 12 (IKR NOV 05). First few puffs started with mild, spicy undertone which soon transformed to more rounded and smooth smoke. Cigar was little underfilled and with low drawing frequency I tried to prevent overheating. Until the last third this Robusto Extra remained rather linear, with unexciting flavors of wood and earth. Nevertheless this is not boring or one dimensional cigar. Presence of spicy undertone and bit of harsh ending indicate that there is some room for improvement over time. Usually I drink alcoholic drinks with my cigars but I found out that for this blend Chinese green tea is the best mach. - Submitted by Diademo on January 21, 2008
- Submitted by nacho on November 18, 2007
Review #54: I just had one of these last night. A very good mild cigar but over priced for what it is. This cigar I believe needs at least three years of age on it. I like the Trindad Coloniales much better but this is still a very beautiful smoke if you can afford it. - Submitted by cigar are good on October 11, 2007
Review #53: Tried one the other day, the first half was borring, taste is herval and flowery, the second half got more interesting but for a good inch, got a little stronger but after that just borring. It might be a good smoke for begginers but the price, overrated and overpriced. - Submitted by Juanocp on September 4, 2007
Review #52: What the heck is all the hype and price all about?? this cigar is more beautiful than tasty. Sure it is good but not worthy in my opinion of the rep and price it holds. I think their are way better cigars out their for half the price! It is a masterpiece of construction and a great size but I will stick with Cohiba if I want to break my bank. - Submitted by sticksmoker on September 2, 2007
