Review #36: I just finished smoking a La Punta, it was good, no where near the flavor of a Bolivar Belicoso Fino, H. Upmann #2, or a Dimplomatico #2. It did burn even and slow, but the taste was just light and woody. I agree with #32 "good, but nothing special." The Juan Lopez Seleccion #2 I smoked earlier was much better, in all areas. - Submitted by nottiman on December 10, 2007
Review #35: I LOVE this cigar date jul 2001. It burned very even with tastes of wood coffee, and was very peppery. I recomend smoking it with 23 year old Zacapa Rum. HEAVENLY! - Submitted by LOMNHERNANDEZ on December 6, 2007
Review #34: It is amazing what six years of aging will do to a Habano. Just finished a La Punta from an OCT 01 box. I imagine most of the lower grades I see here are from unaged cigars because this beauty had total flavour from lighting it until I finally pinched it out. The burn was perfect even though I was sitting outside and there was a breeze. It makes me smile when I see all the reviews describing the various flavours that they get out of a cigar. Maybe I am missing out on something but this cigar just tastes like a full flavoured Habano with that wonderful Cuban flavour that can't be matched to me. By the way, you can find aged cigars at little to no extra cost on the net. I will always buy aged cigars in the future. I see no reason not to give this one a ten! If it was younger, I can imagine that the grade would be lower. I have smoked a few aged Habanos now of various brands and they have all been much better than those I have smoked in the past that had only a year or so in the box and my humidor. 24 more to go and I am looking forward to all 24. Maybe by then I will have added a few more boxes to my storage of this excellent smoke. But then again, I do not have unlimited storage, and if I can have someone else age them for me, why not? - Submitted by lvancourt on November 2, 2007
Review #33: Buen cigarro, 1º tercio sabor entre madera y cuero,2º notas de cafe y final ligeramente dulzon.Combustión y tiro correcto,a pesar de su apariencia apretada. - Submitted by nacho on September 16, 2007
Review #32: Smoked an ABR 02 & find this just an average smoke. Nice draw, but pretty straight forward woody tobacco flavor. Good cigar, but really nothing special. - Submitted by Bassman on August 6, 2007
