Review #64: Get on the band wagon; El Principe is a good to great. It is smooth and creamy in taste and aftertaste. I find it medium to mild in strength. Time will tell, if it gains permanent placement into my rotation. - Submitted by HUC on July 25, 2007
Review #63: Just opened another box of these dated Feb 07 and they are wonderful. The most consistantly enjoyable cigar I have ever smoked by a long chalk. Each one is different to the last, keeping one guessing as to the overall theme expressed in each cigar. Wood, fruit, spices, leather and even one that had a deep Bolivar flavour. They are great from the box, but beware of the solid ones. Leave those to age for 6 months plus and you'll have no problems with the draw. My only critisism is that they are always a few in each box shaped a bit weird and that the wrapper colours differ dramatically between boxes. Try them with a straight rye for the optimum taste experience...... - Submitted by XBO on July 22, 2007
Review #62: I had one last night from my box dated Sept '03. It was fantastic. I had an El Principe a few months ago and the typical SCdlH problems persisted, but not last night with this one. It had a perfect draw and was constructed perfectly this time. I hear that the SCdlH's have problems with the draw. They must have problems with inconsistent rollers. This cigar gives me hope for this brand again. Wonderful flavours and aromas. A little sweetness detected too. These must need age. Lower than average score due to inconsistency. - Submitted by cookj1 on June 8, 2007
Review #61: Lovely little cigar, while mine had a light colored wrapper the strenght was just right, I absolutely agree with this being the perfect cigar before a meal, the light cocoa taste with a slight touch of sweetness makes this the perfect morning cigar. - Submitted by Gillette on May 31, 2007
Review #60: Beautifully constructed, lovely dark wrappers with no large veins. Pre-light draw tasted of mild bread/gingerbread. First tier quite peppery, but this mellowed out to some very nice cocoa tastes after about 10 min.
Middle tier smoothed out considerably, with a good volume of smoke, draw just perfect with a slight resistance.
Final tier mellows even further to a long satisfying finish - what an excellent smoke in such a short package. Very good with a Laphroig Quarter Cask. Perfect combustion, no construction problems of any sort. - Submitted by Silverwhistle on March 29, 2007
