Review #72: First the positive. RICH INTENSE CREAMY SWEET TWANGY SPICY LICORICE. Yes it is a bunch of flavors but that's what you get with this cigar. Very complex for a small cigar. Flavor is insane I LOVE IT! Now the down side seems their is a bunch of over packed ones with a hard draw. Now they are very new (EMA OCT 07) But the ones that have a smooth draw burn perfect. Now I wonder if with time the hard ones will loosen up and smooth out. The tobacco is still very young and has lots of moisture in it. Has anyone else had this box code or seen these ones that are like bricks? But anyway awesome cigar and look forward to seeing how things go with time. - Submitted by sticksmoker on January 18, 2008

Review #71: El Principe is cigar which I most often offer to my non cigar smoking friends. It’s short, undemanding, fairly priced and represent thru Cuban tobacco. That doesn’t mean that I don’t reach for them but minuto is just not vitola that I smoke every day. This one from box FJN SEP 05 had rather rustic Natural wrapper and good draw. Actually I never had plugged El Principe (probably just luck). From the beginning produced tick aromatic smoke with predominant flavors of caramel and cocoa. Shortly after became more mellowed with additional coffee background and only at the very end I noticed some stronger rough notes. This is simply good balanced and smooth smoke without much complexity but with a lot of character. - Submitted by Diademo on January 12, 2008

Review #70: Nice construction, good draw and even burn. Creamy medium bodied that started leathery with a strong finish of sweet licorice. Good quality for value but I will add the little extra and go for the Reyes. - Submitted by JTS on January 10, 2008

Review #69: Faithful to the brand standard, the look of this cigar is great: dark and silky wrapper, lovely anilla, musty and earthy smell. As in many small formats, it's intense and tasty from the first puff, though not with a very strong nicotine punch. There's a definitely sweet undertone, sort of vanilla/cinnamon note, in the first part: I'm not saying it's like a candy, but it's hard to wait for the next puff, you'd like to smoke it greedily like a cigarette. These sweet notes become less dominant quite soon, making space for more traditional cuban flavours, especially woodsy tones, but they come out here and there throughout all the smoke. The draw and burning are perfect, so you don't need to concentrate on anything else than the flavour. I think the best way to define this cigar is creamy: I can't find a better term to explain smoothness and intensity without a great strenght. The last third is a little stronger, but it can't be considered an after meal cigar. It's a perfect all-day smoke. - Submitted by sasha on October 6, 2007

Review #68: I've had several now from my 01 box. When they are on they are ON. Very creamy and smooth. Go great with coffee around brunch to me, not my evening cigar unless I am short on time. The problem i have is the lack of consitency. Many have been strong the whole way, or start way to powerful and mellow my the middle. I can understand variences, but i don't like about 60% of the box going great with coffee, and the rest being way to strong for a brunch cigar. It might be the 01 box. If they were all like the majority, smooth creamy with cinnamon spice, they would score a lot higher in my book. - Submitted by Hagan on September 5, 2007
