Two weeks have passed between smoking the El Morro and writing this review, but I can still call it to mind very clearly. Because this was my first San Cristobal de la Habana ever, I was really looking forward to it. To the eye it is an okay cigar: not a beauty, not an ugly one either. It’s wrapper had some veins, but nothing major. It was way darker than the picture alongside though. The size of this baby is great: just a little bit shorter than the king of them all, the double corona. This one will keep you busy for well over two hours! Right from the start the thick and creamy smoke was full of flavor, quite complex flavor I must say. I couldn’t identify them all, not by far, but some were very clear. It certainly was very spicy, mixed with a sweetness of vanilla and caramel, maybe even a little nutty. Now and then some coffee and chocolate could also be identified. And maybe, just maybe, a hint of milk or cream. But then again, maybe not. Anyway, it was nice! ;-) With regards to construction I have to say it was average. Not great, not bad. It burned perfectly in the first half, but some problems arose in the second. A minor flaw was that the ash fell being less than inch in length … twice! But all things considered, I must come to the conclusion that I will buy this one again. It is a very nice cigar which certainly is it’s money worth. - Submitted by Bolivar on November 25, 2005

I bought a single and the draw was excellent the whole way through. This cigar is medium strength (at best) but full bodied. A Slow burner with a very creamy flavour. Not bad at all. - Submitted by buckrogers on July 13, 2005

Agree with #12, but mine had draw problems from the get-go. I gave myself a headache trying to get smoke out of this thing. Finally clipped it past the hard spot and it turned into a decent smoke, but was put-off by the draw issues. - Submitted by CIGARHead on May 9, 2005
