Saint Luis Rey Doble Coronas Review:
Difficult to find and only available in cabinets of 50, the Saint Luis Rey Double Corona is possibly one of the top 3 prominentes produced. A medium bodied smoke that tends to change flavor throughout the smoke. Starting light, the cigar develops more full earthy floral flavors a third in and has a long almost sweet finish. The Saint Luis Rey Double Corona is a great cigar for those people seeking a compromise between the the lighter Hoyo Double Corona and the stronger Ramon Allones Gigante. Good now, the Saint Luis Rey Double Corona shows great promise for long term aging. A true connoisseur cigar.

Review #17: I had to write a review of this DC vitola after receiving an "04" cab. This is the only DC size I've smoked with 3 to 4 distinct changes in flavor. It was simply fabulous and consistent after 5 sticks from the box. Experienced cigar smokers (in my humble opinion) have raved about this cigar in cabs only. Seems they are right. Aging this cigar minimum of 4 years seems paramount to achieving a great experience. - Submitted by barcelona on February 22, 2008
Review #16: Yet another SLR DC review, this time a MAR 07 example. as diappointed as I was with the 06, this MAR 07 Has everything I want in a large cigar- strength, complexity & earthiness. Pretty darn close in quality to the fabled 01s. THIS is the year of the SLR DC. - Submitted by Bassman on October 21, 2007
Review #15: The best cigar I have ever had hands down. No question about it. All levels of cigar fans, new or well experienced, can appreciate this smoke. I am please I have 20some odd left! Tons of light and exotic flavors that change as you smoke. Medium; but with the complexity of a heavy-duty smoke. 06 box, and MRN be dammed! They do not need tons of age. They are great now, and would be a waste to not have a few over time as they age. - Submitted by Hagan on August 30, 2007
Review #14: This is possible the finest example of Cuban construction and rolling found anywhere. Truly a cigar to marvel. The DC is a cigar that must be tackled when you have time. It certainly does keep your interest. Floral and herbal notes are profound, and yes, there are some fruit notes. I shouldn't have smoked this 06 quite yet, and I will most certainly let the rest age for another five years, but it smoked so well now too. Incredible ash. Wonderful aromas and flavours. I didn't find this to be a medium smoke. More light than anything. It does get more medium flavoured by the end. No spice here. Some sweetness. I am still buzzing from this wonderful cigar and the flavours are lingering in my mouth. If you can find this DC, GET SOME! You won't be disappointed. - Submitted by cookj1 on June 9, 2007
