Review #153: ---   I love the RyJ Churchill. Apart from the historic background and the fact that Sir Winston Churchill smoked it himself, this stick is truly a great conversation piece. It has the perfect size and it combines all the better ingredients of the emblematic brand it represents. A masterfully blended opening makes way for the first and second third of the cigar, both of which, with small variations, release subtle aromas of pepper, cedar and cream. The only drawback comes in the final third, during which the cigar looses a great deal of strength and has some problems with the burn. But when you look at it's wrapper and the combination of the red RyJ band with the gold Churchill band, all is forgiven... - Submitted by RomanAbbey on February 16, 2011

Review #151: Quite new to Cuban cigars, was my first R&J. Rich flavor, creamy wood and nut seemed to me)The appearance is ok, though there were some green spots on the tip and it did a bit disappointed me for a cigar that cost me more then 20$. The draw at first was a bit difficult, but the 2nd and the last third were really good. The burn was even. Never had to relight it, though smoked for 1,5 hour. Quite a nice and spicy cigar after all,I'll consider buying some more of them - Submitted by kilkilkilian on August 15, 2010

- Submitted by cipu on August 13, 2010

Review #149: MAR 05 I find this cigar extremely underwhelming. Floral without an interesting bouquet; spicy without any punch. That's not to say it's weak, just unexciting. It's strong like a workhorse is strong, plodding along at a steady pace, never doing anything out of the ordinary, but I get the sense that it ought to grab you by the scruff of the neck and shake you around with it's intensity, which it just doesn't do. My opinion is hard to articulate, because there's nothing specifically wrong with the RyJ Churchill - it's a beautiful stick, masterfully constructed, but so, so sadly, boring. This is one of those Habanos that you just have to try at some point if you're a cigar smoker, but I think it really doesn't live up to its hype. For a big, strong, powerful, exciting cigar, I'd go with a Bolivar every time. - Submitted by tjdavies on August 1, 2010
