Review #172: JUN 18 Picked one at my local cigar shop as they looked beautiful, so I tried one in the lounge. Silky smooth rosado wrappers glistening with oils, nice feeling roll and plenty of aroma. Opened mild with lush but subtle creamy cedar and cherry flavours with brown sugar and a faint leather note. Delicate exotic spice and baked dough developed through to the second third. By halfway it had reached medium body and the leather and cherry sweetness became a little stronger with it. The final third started showing sudden hits of marzipan and black pepper with a bit of a saltiness. It got hot by the last inch and a half but it was such a young cigar and needs a good few years to develop. Already, however, all the flavours and balance and richness are there and they could age beautifully for a decade. The RyJ Churchills have really come back to their glory over the past few years. - Submitted by A. Dyer on February 15, 2019

Review #171: NOV 14 The 2014 Churchills came out very very good - probably one of their finest years. Allways close to a 10. Very sweet, magnficent smell, medium-light strenght, cherries and cream - great cigar. Pair it with an old Jameson and you'll award yourself a great afternoon. A very solid 9. - Submitted by Heinrich on July 1, 2017

Review #170: Not much of a fan of RyJ untill I smoked a Short Churchill with a superb 2nd third. Since then, I have searched a lot for such red berries sweet flavours. Finally found them in a Churchill - and for two hours, I can say I smoked the most pleasant cigar of my life. Just divine. Along with a LBV Port wine - very strongly recommend. - Submitted by Heinrich on August 20, 2016

Review #169: just smoked a R&J Viejo san andres wrapper and honduran filler of churchill length... seriously good, smooth and wonderfully flavoursome smoke. burns beautifully too with a v easy draw.. great value at USD9 per stick.. - Submitted by richardhilton on October 18, 2015

Review #168: AUG 13 Have smoked the occasional RJC over the last few years but this was the first box I've purchased in a long time. They were the Tubos version and everything was spot on - appearance, construction, draw, and the flavour was very close to the ones I used to regularly purchase in the 1980's. Pungent but also refined with that delicious fruity cherry flavour coming through nicely at the halfway point. I will definitely purchase another box soon and hope they are as fine as these were. - Submitted by ian on August 24, 2015
