Romeo y Julieta Belicosos Review:

Box of 25, 5 1/2 x 52 A mild, full-flavored cigar with a well-rounded taste and good burning qualities. Enjoyable thanks to its fine aroma.

Review #37: NOV 18 Got this cigar from a seleccion Piramides. The RYJ was the most developed out of the 6 cigars and definitely impressed me. I smoked one of these cigars in Havana(very young) and was not impressed. However, after 30+ months age the flavor popped nicely for this cigar! I loved the wrapper! Great draw and burn. Had a sweet creamy and woody flavor throughout with some spice at the end. This cigar is definitely box worthy! - Submitted by Gpayne on June 13, 2021

Review #36: JUL 20 I didn't like it that much. The draw is good but not too much flavours. A bit of cinnamon and it was more bitter than spicy. This brand disappoint most of the times. - Submitted by FARHAT SAAD on October 10, 2020

Review #35: MAY 18 What can you say about an overlooked compana with a less than stellar recent past? When put up against campana’s from different marcas, it is fair to see how reviews could be skewed. Meaning, if $ is at stake, why risk it on chance, when another marca with a stronger history of consistency can be had. But I can honestly say that this vitola was one of my favorites from 2019. The box was from 2018, mind. But as I was seeking to slowly smoke 1 every 3 months, I began to reach for them consistently. Why? Out of the box of 25- 3 smoked woody, and bland. But the 22 others...VERY consistent cherry sweetness, transitioning to light honey and cocoa powder, and ending with a dark coffee and spice. Smoke output was voluminous and ash, was whitish gray normally found on a Dominican. Smoke time was consistently 1h 45m and burn was razor sharp each time. - Submitted by dcbuss on April 11, 2020

Review #34: --- 17 The Romeo Belicosos have been very poor in the past but lately they have been excellent. Rich fruity, creamy and woody with a little pepper, hints of coffee bean, dry grass, honey and leather. Perfect construction - well packed bunch but with a great draw that has some resistance but delivers thick mouthfuls of smoke with a perfect straight burn. I've been astounded by the massive increase in quality with these (and many other Havana vitolas) the last few years. - Submitted by AusDyer on December 3, 2018

Review #33: --- 16 I was gifted an RyJ Belicoso recently. It was a pleasant one and a half hours smoking this. The initial third was smooth but a little bland and vegetal. This changed into the second third to the end of the cigar when creaminess, a touch of nuttiness, leather, and a very mild spiciness developed and stayed. A bit more balanced than a Monte #2, but nowhere near as rich and deeply flavored. Still, after a few more samples confirming consistency, it's a box purchase. I do not anticipate aging past three years to refine this much further and long aging will probably see a loss of return. - Submitted by Venezia on November 27, 2018
