Punch Ninfas Review:
Small gauges are not the best we can find in this Cuban brand. Not very well rated by veteran smokers, this cigar, with subtle hints of leather, wood, chocolate or pepper, is rated by others as a cigar one must try, so the best one can do is trying it himself and make his own opinion"¦

Review #9: --- 02 Very hard to find, but even the last 2002 dress box versions smoked well. Very light and subtle, but a very nice, raisiny taste reminiscent of other Punch cigars. As with all these thin and subtle smokes, a cigar to really take one's time and concentrate. - Submitted by Hercule Poirot on July 3, 2008
Review #8: I love the look of these slender vitolas, I think they're much more elegant and sophisticated than the thicker formats so sought after nowadays.
This Punch is a fine example: fine, well stretched colorado wrapper, slightly box-pressed. The flavour, when still unlit, is of well aged tobacco, earthy and spicy.
The beginning of the smoke is immediately full, both in strenght and in flavour, mostly woody and leathery; had not been the Punch anilla, I would have said it was a Montecristo.
Going on, the flavour become smoother and rounder while the strenght is still at high levels; no trace of the sweet, honeyish taste of other Punch cigars. In the second third it increases to a greater level of complexity, when strong notes of pepper and cocoa jump in: really amazing, I was expecting a much "easier" and straightforward smoke.
The final third show a further increase in flavour and strenght, with more complexity added by a subtle sweetness, sort of a fruity flavour layer.
The draw was fine and consistent throughout the whole stick, while the burning required 3 or 4 corrections: given the format, I think it's acceptable.
This is a fantastic cigar, I strongly recommend it, just pay attention to smoke it after a meal, it's pretty strong. - Submitted by sasha on October 31, 2007
Review #7: Well, I must say that I'm surprised to see such low reviews of this cigar. When I finally got my hands on one, my expectations were not that high. Had they been, the cigar still would have exceeded them. First of all, the draw was fantastic, especially so considering the thin ring gauge that sometimes causes problems. The flavour was woody, with hints of leather, pepper, and cream, and even some raisins toward the end. Never bitter or harsh, even though I smoked it until I couldn't hold on to it any more. It's a crying shame that these were discontinued. If I have the chance to get more, rest assured that I will; if the rest of you don't like them, all the better for me! - Submitted by agraupe on October 7, 2007
Review #6: It is astonishing as this thin cigar is full of flavour! A must try for the sceptical of the thin ring. It leaves you as you have smoke a corona gorda. - Submitted by Odolo on March 7, 2005
Review #5: I like Punch cigars but this is a disapointment. Mild, and basically boring until your more than halfway through, then it develops into a reasonable smoke.
Not worth the effort in my opinion. - Submitted by willisoften on May 9, 2004
