Review #27: really nice cigar if you dont have a long time for the price too these are great smokes..takes about 20 minutes to smoke and is perfect for a car ride, coffee break, or short walk..Nutty, creamy notes are prominent on this great value especially that my box was only a few months old..90 out of 100....MAR 09 box code - Submitted by sause2112 on July 2, 2009

Review #26: MAY 03 Haven't smoked in some time, and saw the P.L.P in a Cuban cigar shop I was working at part-time. Sat down with a co-worker, lit the foot and took a drag, swarming in the mouth, the caramel, the sugary smothering on my palette. Like seeing a good friend after a few years. Had to re-light a few times, but the P.L are fantastic almost obscure cigars and now with a robusto and a belicoso for sale the brand grows with a maturity. - Submitted by Marcel Z on May 4, 2009

Review #25: MAY 08 Nice short smoke when you don't have a lot of time. Great woody and creamy notes from begining to end. Decent burn, decent construction, and very affordable. Love to have these in the morning with coffee! - Submitted by mvanasop on April 8, 2009

Review #24: JUN 08 These are short filler (TC for "tripa corta" stamped on box bottom), but according to reliable authorities are hand-made since 2002. But who cares? This box is dark, oily, full-flavored, mostly good draw, even burn, decent appearance. I noticed previous reviewers have praised this cigar as a morning smoke with lighter body, the opposite of what I experience. And I believe them. For that seems to be what tripa corta is all about. You get what is left over from the long filler cigars. The leftovers may be good or bad, they may be strong or mild. It seems clear from my experience and from the reviews of others that these Larranaga Panetela are always from high quality, good-tasting, Vuelta Abajo tobacos in any given year, the "pick of the litter" tripa corta, so to speak. They may be vastly different in character from year to year, but they seem to be always very good. For that, and for their lower price, I grant them a 10 in their category. - Submitted by cpubiz on March 7, 2009

Review #23: FEB 06 If you like cream in your coffee you'll love this cigar. It's a perfect 30 min. drive to work cigar for me. I think this and the RG panetelas extra and the two best inexpensive cigars you can buy. The RG is much heavier and always has dark wrappers so it's great when you want a more powerful smoke but to start the day you can't beat this $2 cigar. Cream, coffee, carmel, honey and roasted nuts all packed into this little baby. I'd rather smoke this cigar then anything coming from any place else.
