Por Larranaga Montecarlos Review:

This was a famous, mild and pleasant cigar, but discontinued in the year 2001.

Review #39: A couple of years ago, before my cigar smoking break the Montecarlos were hard to find, at least here in Switzerland and I used to smoke the Panetelas, which I liked a lot. This week finally, I smoked 2 Montecarlos, which from what I remembered, tasted different enough to not think they're like the Panetelas, just longer. The Montecarlo is a Por Larrañaga cigar on its own. Both of them I smoked together with late breakfast, the first one was wonderful and pure bliss, the second one I somehow didn't get the same access to like to the first one. It wasn't the cigar that was wrong, I guess it was just me. I would like to add a few words to the description of this cigar in the header: it is correct that there was a machine-made Montecarlo (cellophaned or not) until 2002 when it was replaced by the hand-made Montecarlo, which is still in production (fortunately!). - Submitted by jensi on August 9, 2019

Review #38: SEP 17 Great, consistently good skinnies from this brand. Can have a wonky burn, and require touch ups if not stored properly, especially if over humidified. And can burn VERY fast if not humidified enough. Time and care reward you in the smoking department too. Expect to get shy of 80 minutes out of this smoke. And if done properly you’ll be rewarded with complexity ranging from good Monte tobacco flavor, to caramel and crepe and ending with slr or ra dried fruit. - Submitted by dcbuss on August 3, 2019

Review #37: ---   口味非常美好的一只雪茄,单纯的松木味道,淡淡的豆味,2017/5的出品,价格非常友好。除了较细外非常完美。 The cigar with a nice taste. Pure pine flavor. Light bean flavor.2017/5 be produced. The price is very friendly. Besides the finer, it is perfect. - Submitted by slonglylee on April 13, 2018

Review #36: OCT 13 Very complex with nut, cream, caramel and woody flavors. Amazing depth and needs less age than the PC. You can't lose with this skinny! My favorite smoke and has been for a couple years now. - Submitted by HowlAG on December 4, 2017

Review #35: This is now in the Habanos catalogue as a hand-made long-filler cigar, unlike the Por Larraaga Panetelas, which remains a short-filler but 'hand-made' ... the Montecarlos is great fun as a slender but rather ultra-long cigar, mine was a bit rough-looking in cap & foot, bit of a tight draw at points tho didn't need to employ my cigar-piercing tool that I keep handy for thinner Cubans; was not super in flavour, but a very pleasant hour-plus smoke given the nice price point - Submitted by Beneluxor on December 10, 2016
