Partagas Serie D No.5 LE 2008 Review:

All the flavour of Partagás locked in this small yet powerful smoke allowing us to feel the Partagás taste. The Series Lines from Partagás have become a guide due to the recognition of Serie D No 4 and the most recent pyramid: the Serie P No 2.
All the leaves (filler, binder and wrapper) have been aged at least for two years.

Review #44: --- 08 What a beautiful maduro wrapper! Nice construction and good draw. Dark coffee taste but linear, way too linear for my taste (I was indeed expecting much more versatility and strength from it). 7.5 - Submitted by cottierm on June 22, 2011

Review #43: MAY 08 the quality of this LE08 is highly unstable. i owned 3 boxes and finished almost half. to be honest, the 1st box amazed me much, so that why i bught two more boxes. the 2nd box is totally different from the 1st because of over-filled (i tried many ways in aging in order to improve it), flat, uneven-burn. highly expecting the 3rd will be much more better than 2dn after years of aging. - Submitted by ericryan on November 12, 2010

Review #42: ---   Wow, What a difference 9 months in the humi made. These cigars just needed a little aging. A pure flavor Bomb. Seasoned 25 year Partagas smoker and This has the potencial to be one of the best ! Glad I did'nt pass judgment prematurely - Submitted by vansquez on September 21, 2010

Review #41: ---   In all earnest, I can't figure out why this cigar was produced as a Limited Edition. It is no different than a well rolled 2 years old PSD4, which comes at roughly half the price tag. Typical Parts flavors, with good construction. That's all. Overpriced. - Submitted by El Greco on August 5, 2010

Review #40: ---   I agree with the detractors. I have a number of these aging away in my humidor for a while. With much anticipation I decided to light one up today but I was bitterly disappointed. Mind you it started off reasonably well. First few puffs yielded typical Partagas flavour minus the typical Partagas intensity of spice, then a huge chunk of filler fell off! The stick was so underfilled there was a network of tunnels within. If this did not have an exorbitant price tag, I would have found it comical and tried another. I should have noted the unusually spongy feel but I thought this must be something special, Edition Limitada and all that. All show, very lacking in substance. For it's price, I recommend going for the Lusitanias or multiple sticks of either the P2s, D4s, 898s or even a whole handful of Shorts. The normal Partagas lines never disappoint. The only thing 'Limited' about this stick is its smoking pleasure. One point only because I get to add a D5 band to my collection. - Submitted by sengjc on June 15, 2010
