Review #5: Το format είναι Salomon I (double perfeto), 18,4 X 2,26, 57άρι δαχτυλίδι, όπως και το αντίστοιχο Cuaba. Πρωτο-κυκλοφόρησε σαν special release το 1995 με την ονομασία “Salomones Espanola” σε 150 αριθμημένα humidors των 50 cigars (δύο 25άρες δεσμίδες). Εγώ θα μιλήσω για την επανακυκλοφορία του 2008, μισή regular – μισή special (περιορισμένη έκδοση), με το δεύτερο δαχτυλίδι της LCDH. Είναι ένα όμορφο τέρας με αργή καύση, ισχυρό σε γεύσεις και θεαματική εξέλιξη, που φέρνει πολύ σε μία super limitada, με όλα εκείνα τα εξαίσια χαρακτηριστικά, (φοβερή κατασκευή, wrapper από σκούρο μετάξι, μεθυστικό άρωμα, καύση & τράβηγμα στα όρια του τέλειου). Οι γεύσεις είναι συναρπαστικές, ξεκινούν από ένα χαρακτηριστικό partagas profile και εξελίσσονται σε κάτι πολύ εκλεπτυσμένο με εναλλαγές από δέρματα, πικάντικα και ξυλώδη μέρη, μοσχομύριστες καβουρδισμένες αναπνοές και απρόσμενες γλύκες. Είναι ένα θεαματικό πούρο που κινείται σε σφαίρες ιδιαίτερες, αγγίζοντας μεγάλες καπνιστικές κορυφές, ισορροπώντας ανάμεσα σε κάτι βαρβάτο και αέρινο μαζί. Νομίζω πως είναι μέσα στις πέντε καλύτερες (νέες) δημιουργίες της Habanos τα τελευταία 2-3 χρόνια. Είναι λίγο ακριβό, αλλά αξίζει πέρα ως πέρα τα λεφτά του, κι αν σκεφτεί κανείς πως πρόκειται για πούρο μόνο ενός έτους, (το τελευταίο 3ο εμφανίζει στοιχεία ανωριμότητας), αντιλαμβάνεται για τι θησαυρό μιλάμε, (και δε χρειάζεται ιδιαίτερο κόπο για να τον αποκτήσει κανείς). Με την ευκαιρία, χαιρετίζω θερμά τις νέες, δροσερές κι ολόφρεσκες (αλλά γαλαζοκαπνισμένες) ελληνικές λαλιές και χαίρομαι που στάθηκα η τυχαία αφορμή για τη δημιουργία αυτού του άτυπου φουριόζικου lobby, μέσα σε τούτη τη φιλόξενη (και συχνά αμετροεπή) Βαβυλώνα. Tremendous cigar, perfectly rolled and construted with a very slight colorado wrapper, the combustion is slow as for the aromas this cigar is very peppery and some leather it increase it´s strenght and depth while smoking a truly legend reborn. Bought one in Casa Düsseldorf the only disavantage it still too young although greatly balanced. A truly great exceptional smoke. - Submitted by DG on March 30, 2009

A great cigar although hard to come by. Toasty, oak and a hint of pepper, halfway it's body and aroma increase with leather and a hint of toadstool. Well worth it's money (13 euro) and in the second half resembles the 2004 limitada, nice oily wrapper. - Submitted by Reddog on July 18, 2007
