Review #20: I haven't smoked one of these in several months and I've got one laying in the humidor to gain some age, but I thought I'd revisit it again today. A friend graciously bought it for me and I was very impressed. I remember it being very young as some reviewers have experienced, but this one was excellent. With perfect draw and combustion, this carefully rolled cigar didn't disappoint. It was exactly what I was looking for. A bold, spicy, full cigar with copious amounts of smoke. A true masterpiece from Montecristo. I thoroughly enjoyed this EL today. It explodes with spice, leather, and nuts, growing ever stronger and more bold in the last 1/3rd. I have no reservations about smoking this one again. It's a very complex cigar that will continue to find excellent balance with age. - Submitted by cookj1 on October 18, 2007
Review #19: This robusto is beautiful in its appearance and construction. It was quite firm between the fingers, and the filler was dense. Pre-light aromas were of spicy tobacco with light cocoa notes. The pre-light draw was more open than I expected, given its heft and density, but it drew well, and delivered loads of thick smoke with every draw.
The initial draughts were extremely strong and spicy, with the peppery elements overshadowing the Montecristo bittersweet spice. After the first third, which I found nearly overpowering, it began to settle down, and provided a glimpse into what the cigar could someday become: a strong, rich smoke with loads of bittersweet spices. It had a unbalanced, peppery, bitter finish. For now, this cigar is all potential; too "raw" to really enjoy. It you are prepared to put it away for five years, chances are good that you'll have a classic. - Submitted by shrink on July 8, 2007
Review #18: Definately agree with Review #15 and 7. Bland, very little flavour. It probably could do with a good deal of aging, probably be better in a year or maybe more. - Submitted by J.P. on July 2, 2007
Review #17: I have try this sigar yesterday night with my friends. I like very much the Montecristo taste tobacco. This sigar is a real true Montecristo. Perfect form a 1st "puff" to last. Full of aroma and sweet taste. For my opion second only to "perfect" Cohiba Robustos. - Submitted by andreadp on June 19, 2007
