Montecristo Robusto LE 2001 Review:

The Montecrsito Robusto start out medium and turned full with about 1/3 left. Its flavour has Medium-full shades of wood and both sweet and peppery spices. Very long finish with a serious dose of pepper and a nice balance of sweet spices and roasted nuts

Review #21: Does anyone know why there are Montecristo Robustos Edicion Limitada 2000 with just the EL band and some with the 2001 band? Would be great if someone could help me out with that! Thanks a lot - Submitted by Kitingfreak on July 7, 2016

Review #20: ---   Μια «μπερδεμένη» limitada. - Submitted by cipu on September 21, 2009

Review #19: --- 00 I just smoked this robusto from the first release, the one that just said edicion limitada. I thought that 9 years would do it, unfortunately that was not the case. the wraper just wouldnt burn. some creaminess came and went, but the main flavour was charred wood. humidity 68 and temprature 18C. - Submitted by martin on June 18, 2009

Review #18: I smoked this cigar a while back. While the construction wasn't really premium, the tobacco was magical! Extremely dark, with an almost square appearance this cigar revealed so many roast flavors, so many congeners and so much aging potential - more than any cigar I can think of. Worse in construction but stellar in tobacco quality compared to the younger LE Monte Robusto. - Submitted by opinionated alchemist on May 28, 2009

Review #17: Smoked another one tonight. After the last one being too tight, this one was somewhat "underfilled" and was a struggle to keep properly burning. It started strong, but tasted very mellow and really mature in the first half. In fact, it tasted like an OLD cigar - complex, subtle yet intese - but very ripe. Picked up in spiciness and density in the second half, became more peppery, with the final third being most enjoyable. Oily-coating, matured tobacco. The main character still was the charred wood component, imparted by the wrapper. Clearly a relative of the Millenium Jarre Robustos, but much more advanced in its development. That might very well be the difference in packaging affecting the ageing. All in all, a great 1,25 hour smoke! - Submitted by Hercule Poirot on September 11, 2008
