Review #20: I had the opportunity to try the tubos while in Kuwait and Iraq. I have also had numerous MC#4's, both from cedar box of 25 and cardboard box of 3. I recommend the tubos 1st, cardboard container, then the cedar box. Seems that the best of the batch are placed in tubes. All of the cedar boxes that I have bought had fairly dry wrappers. The tubos and boxes of 3 both had oily wrappers. All, but the tubos, required aging in the humidor for some time(3-6 months) before they had the renowned flavor of the #4. The 3x boxes that I purchased had the old bands - should be prior to 03, and were the most flavorful and definatley lived up to the hype. Beware that as many as #4s that are produced, quality is hard to control - thus the vast swing in rating. Once you get a good batch, they are hard to beat. - Submitted by tolije on April 7, 2006
Review #19: I am a fairly new smoker and heard much about the notority of the Montecristo brand. I found it to take alot out of me. Alot of work for little smoke. The first half tasted O-K. The middle gave a fairly plesent tast and aroma. At this point the cigar began to be a bit too much for me and had to put it down. I may be more interested in the cigar once I can finish one. - Submitted by spolik on March 15, 2006
Review #18: This was my first habano ever and I must say it was a very pleasant experience, although I was expecting a more intense flavour range based on other reviews. I had some trouble with the burning, I actually had to relit it a couple of times (did I say this was my first one?), but the draw was excellent. A great habano for the newbie. - Submitted by Mithras on March 14, 2006
Review #17: I had one these the other and I was a bit disapointed. I was my first Montecristo and I was expecting a lot more. The draw was ok, but the way it burned was horrible. I was expecting more flavours. - Submitted by Samuel on March 3, 2006
Review #16: smoking one right now to me its strong but not over powering decent smoke but not as tasteful as a cohiba in roughly the same size and price at least where im at - Submitted by bubbaj on February 11, 2006
