Review #40: NOV 07 Another excellent cigar from Montecristo. Very balanced and earthy smoke, with great construction and draw. - Submitted by titobueno76 on May 28, 2009

- Submitted by cipu on April 25, 2009

Review #38: MAR 08 I ended up with two boxes of these when my "Cuban Cigar Donkey" mixed up my order. Was a bit worried at first because I have a bit of a stigma with cigars that come in tubes. Anyway smoked one a few days ago and was very happy. Slightly tight draw but the wonderful flavours. Didn't burn very well the last third but somehow I will manage to smoke two more boxes. - Submitted by bigfunkyg on March 27, 2009

Review #37: A rating of 8 plus for this cigar is beyond me. Ive had a lot worse but this stick is far from good. Great looks, smell and construction before smoking this cigar. I looked forward to smoking this one for quite some time......... Smooth yes but lacked the aroma and tasting notes that would be present in better cigars. Im not comparing this cigar to other because that isn't how a cigar should be rated. Im saying that is cigar would be a lot better with some more taste to it. - Submitted by muzza on March 22, 2009

Review #36: JUN 01 I bought a box of 10 because it was a 7years old and aged boxes of this brand are usually hard to find and Montechristos are always, well,Montechristos. First impressions were that they were cigars with a construction slightly above average with good sheen and oils, firm to the touch. I kept them in my humi for two weeks, half left in their tubes and half outside the tubes. I smoked them in about fifteen days and this is my overall impression:The draw was firm and the burn was erratic in all the cigars. Despite looking good the taste was bland, linear and monodimensional with just hints of the flavours that make MC a great brand and very unlike the MC#2 or even(aged) #4(!) that i usually keep in my humidor. It is said that cigars in tubes mature slower than others or that cigars pass through a 'sick' period as MRN says in his encyclopedia, but anyway this was a bellow average experience and certaintly not expected from a 7year old monty. Are the boxes of 10 filled with lower quality cigars?Maybe it is my impression only but i do believe that the Diplomaticos that are supposed to be the poor brothers of MC's are more consistent and age better.Anyone with a similar experience? - Submitted by SOTERIS KOROMIAS on October 24, 2008
