Review #40: OCT 06 Dark, oily wrapper, perfect draw, rich medium bodied cocoa flavor. Wonderful! - Submitted by Bassman on September 25, 2013

Review #38: --- 05 I am glad I had this one today. Good looking, firm and a perfect tight draw. Well, not really tight but enough to help out to get a cool draw. Almost perfect burn. Easy to find each 3rd. Very good tobaccoflavours. Not "classic" Monte (2) taste. And an ending that left you with burning fingers and a mouth that wanted more. Now on my top 10 list. - Submitted by poppe on December 29, 2011

Review #37: MAR 08 I too am very surprised at the relatively low rating of the Monte #1. While I have not smoked one older than an '05 I have never had a bad one. Very consistent Monte flavor, great construction, an even burn, and plenty of thick smoke. The '08 box I have been smoking from is outstanding. I think these will age wonderfully so I acquired several more boxes. - Submitted by Smokin Gator on August 24, 2010

Review #36: ---   Smoked a shocker the other day. Was offering some good Monte flavours in the first third. A bit of cocoa, a bit of pepper on the nose, med-full body. Then, all of a sudden, it completely lost taste. I mean, I was smoking "air". Such an anomaly, never had it happen with any cigar before. But it was awful. Put it down half way. - Submitted by Kangaroo495 on March 16, 2010
