Montecristo Montecristo D LE 2005 Review:
The best-known of all Habanos brands now introduces this splendid 8-9-8-style case comprising 10 units (3-4-3) of Montecristo D. Its dimensions (43 ring gauge and 170 mm long) are equivalent to the factory name Dalia so smokers can be able to feel the natural character of Montecristo, a brand that has proven to be an all-times success.

Review #13: This smoke is fast becoming a classic, with perfect balance of sweetness, leather and cedar along with hints of nutmeg. It draws like a dream and can last for a couple hours with the relaxed smoker. Review #11:  I’m somewhere in the middle of box from 2005 and I have to admit that I’m little disappointed with this Lonsdale. I’m not great Montecristo fan and I don’t faint away when I see Edicion Limitada’s ring but I was expecting more from this vitola. Beside average looking wrapper with salty undertone and dry finish I found this cigar most of the time rather one dimensional. Toward the end became more rounded and full bodied with distinctive flavors of wood and spice. Don’t get me wrong – it is not a bad cigar but IMO this is probably not what Habanos S.A.had in mind when they design it. Maybe additional aging will help but I’m skeptical, because tobacco in EL should be better fermented and matured, while over two years in humidor are more than enough to show true value of cigar. - Submitted by Diademo on December 3, 2007
Review #10: By far this is the best cigar I ever had. Long burning time,magnificent taste and true uniformity. The D is the best for its size.
