Review #27: Few of these Doble Coronas were resting in my humidor for four years, probably rolled in 2002. Appearance was impeccable with somewhat oily wrapper but with a bit to tight draw. In the first half I had to correct burn few times but this was not affecting smoking or taste. The most obvious fault was related with flavor, exactly with lack of diversity of flavors. Linear taste was something I was not expecting from cigar of this size. Just before last third became more interesting with pronounced wood and coffee flavors but soon afterwards changed toward somewhat harsh end. During whole time I couldn’t get rid of feeling that I’m smoking gigantic Monte 4. At the end I can’t resist to compare Monte A with Sanchos: the last is obvious winner. - Submitted by Diademo on February 21, 2008

Review #23: For a cigar from such a prominent brand and at such a price, this giant turned out to be a major disappointment. The was impossible and where's the smoke. Friend and I thought we would light up a couple of them to celebrate our last night in Cuba. The only pleasure is the looks from the other guest at the hotel. Still have in my humi. Who want's them? - Submitted by teledog on July 21, 2007
