Review #150: ---   Tried one of these the other night, and expected a lot more. The construction was very solid, and the burn very even on the plus side; but the draw was quite restricted and the flavour very muted. For it's big size, it's personality doesn't match. Much prefer the little brother, the Petit Edmundo. - Submitted by slarn on October 16, 2009

Review #149: ---   Gave it a shot and bought one off the box. Lit it up last night with no regrets. Draw was smooth and the aroma from the smoke combined with the actual stick itself was heavenly. Nice subtle flavours of cocoa, coffee, tobacco and a tinge of sweetness and vanilla. Creamy texture, starting off with a light to medium body and graually inreasing to a medium with more complexity. Never too overpowering or harsh. Does not burn hot at all. And the size...perfect. Lasted an hour and a bit until probably less than an inch...I just could not get enough! Now I am quite new to Cubans having preferred Dominicans previously but this is one good smoke. I am a firm Montecristo convert. - Submitted by sengjc on September 26, 2009

- Submitted by barenque on September 14, 2009

Review #147: JUL 07 Some coffee, some chocolate and a little cream. The construction was superb - packed as tight as a footballers wife compact set - it smoked beautifully. However, it lacked the punch, the verve, the gravitas to be a great smoke.A beautiful looking stick just lacking the dignity and the force of a true cuban great. It looks, smells and is made like a great cuban but it does not expound these qualities throughout its generous smoking time. - Submitted by CastroGTX on August 29, 2009

Review #146: JUL 05 I bought a box of 25 and smoked one straight out of the box: very nice complexity, strong chocolate and coffee taste all the way through. Now they've been in my humidor for some time and the only word I can use to describe them is: excellent. One of the best smokes ever. - Submitted by checcot on August 29, 2009
