Review #103: Great smoke from....big smoke in a little cigar. Surprised me...

Review #102:  Big flavor from this monte. This cigar has flawless construction, an easy draw with mountains of thick white smoke. All the classic monte flavors are there, with that indescribable "twang" that just let's you know you're smoking a monte. The cigar started off a bit harsh, due to its young age (ENE07), but mellowed out nicely after the first 1/5, smoothing out into a delicious medium to full bodied powerhouse of flavor. Review #101: I've heard such good words about this cigar (and the Petit Edmundo) that I just had to try it to see for myself. I ended up smoking a few in search of all the taste notes mentioned by other smokers/reviewers. What striked me the most about this cigar is the pleasant saltiness that the blend delivers to the palate. It is a typical Montecristo. Other than that all I can say with positiveness is that the blend was very balanced, refined and satisfying. Without wanting to make anyone unhappy here, however, I feel the Bolivar Royal Corona beats this cigar anytime of the day (in Robustos size category ). It's obviously a different cigar with a different smoker in mind, but the richness and multi-dimensionality of the BRC is unbeatable. Review #100: Usually I smoke 4 cigars a day. Today I waited till the drive home this evening to have my first. Figured I would be in for a treat. So I tried an late 05 Edmundo and it was the pits. Not even bitter. Very little flavor and if I didnt know better I wouldnt even say it was a Monty. Hit or miss they are.
