Review #27: Question for the poster of #25 or anyone else that can help out: Poster #25 indicated that his Edmundos were taking too long to turn at 70% but did better when he turned the humidity level down to 65%. I would have thought it would have been the opposite but would love to understand the reasoning behind bigyesta's contention as he seems to know a fair amount about cigars. by the way, I think the edmundo is fabulous as well. thanks. - Submitted by Michael on February 15, 2005

Review #26: I tried Edmundo's as they were launched. What a marvel! A greasy wrapper, a perfect draw, wonderfoul flavours: with plenty of retronasal impact. Fresh coffee, walnuts, toasted tobacco. An explosion of the senses! Then two months without supplies... (I live in Spain). Finally a jumped on a box when stocks became available again. And boy what a shame: the smoke was too hot, the filling was uneven, the draw was really bad... and prices had gone up in the two months of waiting. To die of success in just four months is a sorry tale, illustrative of Havana's inconsistencies. I rate this cigar an 8: 10 for the first box, 5 for the second... giving some room for things to improve again. Please, Montecristo, make them again as you know you can. - Submitted by Frederick on February 9, 2005

Review #25: Finally getting to the classic monty flavors and aromas, box code, LLN NOV04, turned the humidity down to 65% and the cigars are starting to age and release the unique monty twang. At 70% they are taking too long to turn, the strong tobacco flavors are finally starting to tame, and the classic monty aromas are releasing. Will revisit in the summer time, should be approaching classic status by then - Submitted by bigyesta on January 28, 2005

Review #24: A good friend of mines was in Cuba and was gifted several Edmundos at the Partagas Factory. Well, he just send me 4 and I like the size and construction of the cigar. I will let them rest for a week or so and try one. As far glass top boxes no cigar in Cuba comes in a glass top and if you have one be assure you have 100% fakes. Read and learn.. I giving the Edmundo a 7 on construction and will give another score after I smoke one... - Submitted by JRBoricua on January 27, 2005
