Montecristo Edmundo Review:
Named after Edmundo Dantes, hero of Alexandro Dumas' famous novel "The Count of Montecristo", the Edmundo is the first size to be added to Montecristo's standard range since 1971. It is the second new 52 ring gauge, parejo size to be introduced by Habanos, SA within a year. All Edmundos are tripa larga, totalmente a mano - long filler, totally hand made using medium to full-bodied blend of Vuelta Abajo Tobaccos that deliver the classic, bitter-sweet, tangy flavour that has made Montecristo the world's most popular Havana cigar brand.

Review #110: A very fine Cuban cigar. It's a go to cigar that won't disapoint inexperienced smokers and experienced smokers alike. I prefer this to the Monte #2, but prefer the Petite Ed. when I'm short on time. Perfect draw. Perfect construction. There's nothing bad about this cigar, but there's nothing that really sets it ahead of the classic Cubans. - Submitted by cookj1 on January 21, 2008
Review #109: Had my first Edmundo yesterday. Had it in my humi for past 4 months but couldn't wait any longer. Only a single so not sure of its age. lovely looking cigar. Well constructed. Burn a little uneven but nothing to spoil the enjoyment of the cigar. Ash was flaky but firm. Draw was a little tight for my liking and not much smoke produced. Taste was bland in all truth with little development as the cigar progressed. Only had the one so will not overly judge this vitola, however I can honestly say I have smoked many monte 4's that have far more flavour and interest than this Edmundo. I purchase a couple of petit edmundos at the same time as i got the Edmundo. I will be a little more patient with these, to see if the blend will provide better results with a little more age on them. - Submitted by swan25 on December 29, 2007
Review #108: This is a great cigar, lot of flavor in a little, but not small, cigar. The only problem that I have found, it burns uneven. I don't know if someone else have had the same experience.. - Submitted by xcalibull on November 20, 2007
Review #107: I like Edmundo format which is offering more than regular robusto and yet is short enough for nice after lunch smoke. This is one of mildest Montecristos with somewhat linear taste. You need some time to detect cedar/woody and creamy flavors which arise accompanied with hidden spicy taste. I didn’t have opportunity to age this one but probably there is enough body in this cigar to improve over years. - Submitted by Diademo on November 16, 2007
- Submitted by rafa on November 5, 2007
