Review #9: I expected a big robusto from Montechristo. This cigar looks like an experiment. I had five, it was strong, it was looking very good; was well made ; burning was average, some problems. It is a fine montechristo but not memorable. Not a classic. 4/5 - Submitted by FRAD1854 on July 29, 2004

Review #8: The edmundo started out extremely well. But the middle and end left something to be desired - Submitted by zippy on July 28, 2004

Review #7: Have to agree with many who note that with ageing, this may become (or not), a classic, however right now its still very 'young', and find the erratic burn a little irritating. I've had a couple over the last week, but the others will spend the next few months aging - Submitted by Pat (London) on July 25, 2004

Review #6: Defenitely they need more aging, the burn is not that good, so far itīs an average cigar but in my humidor thereīs still a 25 box waiting for a few months for me to taste one of the best cigars in the world. Montecristo needed this vitola or even a robusto, those of the Millenium Edition were superb. - Submitted by Pedro Delisle Ferreira PORTUGAL on July 20, 2004

Review #5: This one is pritty dificult to rate. I smoked about five Edmundos so far. And I still can not make up my mind about this cigar. I would say that the best thing about this cigar is its size.Just perfect, ingeniouse, smart smart size. This size tells me that Habanos has entered the era of morern business. By that I mean surely they made extensive RD to come up with this new vitola. Now back to the taste, well let me say that I expected it to be alot worse! Sorry but monte cristo was never regarded by me as more than the commrrcial habano void of any real character and vintage. Therefore my expectations were not so high here. As I understand it the Edmundo is made in a meodern new facility in Havana specializing in "fat" cigars. There is a hint of cocoa here, very cidary, with a hint of spice. Draw is perfect, thanks to the new drawing machines being used by Habanos(finaly). Burn inconsistant. Aroma cidary. Better quality control than the no. 2. Not really sure if aging will do much to this cigar,in my opinion this is as good as it gets. Still, I was sold because of he size, along with the super robusto, its defenitely my new favorate vitola. And who ever said that size don't matter? - Submitted by S. Darwish on June 20, 2004
