La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No. 2 Review:
Background of medium tobacco taste combined perfectly with earthy and fruity flavours. Fantastic ageing potential if the smoker is patient enough, because those who have waited for at least 20 years, agree saying that this cigar gets better and better.

Review #22: I feel very unlucky with this cigar. Younger brothers (Medaille d'Or 3 and 4) were fine and superb smokes, however this Medaille d'Or 2 was a big dissapointment: Too limited draw, low in flavours and strength. Too boring smoke. - Submitted by olisiponense on April 30, 2008
Review #21: A very decent cigar. The taste is in my opinion a bit one dimensionel compared to other dalias, but definitely worth trying. - Submitted by Christianjes86 on March 31, 2008
Review #20: This is one cigar that holds great potential. My particular medaille d'or was from an october 02 batch. The notes for me were everywhere honey, herbal, almond....yet the taste was mild. I would suggest this one for anyone who is fairly new to the cigar scene but not too new. This gloria has just the right strength and the right size to not overdue the novice to intermediate cigar smoker - Submitted by Gillette on January 25, 2008
Review #19: My grandfather, a true cigar aficionado, used to smoke these and I can see why. This is a cigar with fairly complex flavor palate. Yes, it's quite light and lacks the body we are used to nowadays, but for the perceptive smoker it opens a realm of varying aromas. I picked up top-notes of wood, cedar and floral pattern, with heart-notes of caramel and nuts and finally an ending in cocoa and sugar. The aftertaste is also quite long. The cigar gets quite harsh towards the end and I have often found myself discarding the last 1/4 of the cigar. I recommend this cigar for a reflective post lunch smoke. The quality of these cigars have seemed to be declining over the years, or maybe I just need to have the patience to wait out 20+ years before smoking them :-) - Submitted by nikolasb on December 11, 2007
Review #18: OSU (partagas Factory) 02 just received 3 days ago. Great appearence, construction and aroma. First cigar was dissappointing medium draw, but only flavour was of bland mild smoke.
Smoked 5 more since and they have all been better than the first one - varying from hard work to almost superb. I have bought these before last time was at the end of the 90's and that box was superior - smoked like a good cohiba back then. one thing that has not changed is that they do generally require considerable attention when smoking.
I would agree strongly with the comments that this is a smoke for a true aficionado. My rating is based on 8 smokes from this box and averages a 6.5/10 - Submitted by ian on November 21, 2007
