LA FLOR DE CANO Predilectos tubulares LOS-AGO 00 This is a machine made, Standard size (40 RG X 123)" apparently discontinued in 2003. It comes in a nice looking tube, very distinctive with its black and white backgrounds and red band. Appearance is typical of a machine made. A bit bumpy, and felt a bit spongy rather than firm when given a squeeze. I smoked this one on a nice afternoon while sitting out by my pool. It had been in my humidor for about 6 weeks so it seemed ready to try. After opening the tubo, this cigar had a nice cedar smell to it. The draw was easy, burn was good throughout. It tended to hold its ash for just over an inch at a time. It produced plentiful smoke and had a nice but nondescript aroma. The first third of this cigar yielded a mild, pleasant, tobacco taste, with a light olive taste. Nothing fancy, just a straight old style Cuban taste. The second third was very similar to the first segment. Pleasant mild tobacco, with a slight bit more strength and a bit more of the olive taste. In the final third, this turned in to a medium to strong tobacco taste. During the last inch and a half it began to numb my lips a bit. I began to feel a bit of the nicotine rush and a strong olive taste. With the loose roll, I had to handle this cigar delicately near the end, it felt as if I could easily crush it or put it out of shape if I didn't use a delicate touch. At the end it started to unravel a bit and I left a pretty funky looking stub. In summary, this was a good cigar, pleasant smoke but nothing to rave about. Nice change of pace cigar. It will be fun to share this one with others since it seems to be pretty uncommon. - Submitted by Professor Twain on February 1, 2007
